Still having problems with Vortex modding tool...
Since the last update I was having issues and deleted the whole game but my mods also has been deleted. Thought it was already time to use Vortex from Nexus site.

Even with today`s essential mods update to make all the other mods work, Vortex didn't seem to make it work even with the fresh installation

I've checked the file path and if the updates has been installed and it was all correct. I had all this mods working for months and Vortex just let me down.

Anyone got any tips to make Vortex work or simply better without it?

all the essential should be updated as of now. As for vortex, i don't trust it to handle 2077 so i switch to manual.

Nope, I do the old fashioned manual way for Cyberpunk...

I see. I only trust Vortex then to maybe keep my files organized on a file... maybe.

Even as this might be, even with another fresh install of the game and the usual mod installation the game kept crashing.

By the discussion on Nexus forums the culprit is RED4ext. For now I recommend to look on Github for RED4ext updates. Gonna look now to see if there is any.

The culprit is redscript.

There are people saying that it works after github RED4ext update yesterday... but it didn't worked for me with my old mod list. Anyone still persisting? Some related that the core mods itself with the latest updates now works.

You're free to believe what you want. The game kept crashing until such time that I removed redscript. RED4ext did nothing, in fact, I haven't even updated it today and am still on the June 20th update.

Up to you.

Normally the major mods are
ArchiveXL
Codeware
RED4ext
redscript
TweakXL
CyberEngineTweaks

Whenever an update happen, I look at these files first before anything. If the above is updated and still crash it might be related to something else, like maybe a mods you have on the old list that the modders moved on and has stop/yet to update his/her mods. For me it was crashing up until yesterday and then the above mods drop the update and it work for me.

I'm currently doing a manual install of all my mods, and backing up all my mod folders. REDmod and straight Archive mods don't seem to get trashed...only CET and stuff dependent on redscript, Red4EX and the like. CET seems to be working fine at the present moment, so now (Tuesday 06/27 AM) I'm going to try to get the redscript stuff going. (Redscript allegedly doesn't have problems with patch upgrades, but everything dependent on it does). Jumping into the deep end here...

I am resigned to playing the vanilla game after Patch 1.7, or whatever they call it, for a while until the whole mod scene catches up. I plan to delete everything CP77 related and do a completely fresh install on a new drive. Vortex has worked pretty well for me...except when it doesn't, and that is a problem.
