Update 1.7 and Phantom Liberty release date?
I'm assuming the release date for the update and the expansion are at the same time. Is that correct? I was sort of hoping 1.7 would come out a few weeks earlier than the expansion because also releasing in September is Starfield and I'll probably still be up to my eyeballs playing that when the expansion releases.
Now I'm in a position on whether I'll delay playing this expansion as I'll be playing Starfield or if I'll give Starfield a break to play this. Am I alone in this conundrum?

Well, for sure they will try to get as much as they can with the pre sale, I think this huge update will come very near to the PL's release.

CDPR announced that Patch 1.7 would be released 'not before 90 days'...which from the announcement would put it in the second week of September. Which may mean nothing, but there it is. I'm hoping for a release a few weeks before PL too...

Personally I can split my attention between a few games. But the things about starfield I have seen are not complimentary. In particular the specs you need to run it.

It shouldn't take you 20 days to finish it anyways.

It's getting very unlikely that there will be 1.7 patch at all, I'm leaning towards believing 2.0 will drop a few days before Phantom Liberty based on what CDPR said about the increased system requirements for the base game going forward.

agreed, its 100% gonna be called 2.0, it'll either release on the 26th of sept or a few days prior. either way we'll probably get an answer when they start showcasing the changes like they do with every major patch.

Wait GeForce RTX 5090 coming soon year 2024. I upgrade from my RTX 4090 to RTX 5090 next game Phantom Liberty. Haha I'm just crazy.

I applaud your enthusiasm, but I really don't see why we need better graphics than we have currently. I think we have reached the point of diminishing returns.

My future game choices will involve how smart a game is, not how much better (2%? 5%? 10%?) it looks.
