Is dual wielding pistols coming back?
Alot of info has come out the last few weeks havent sifted through all of it yet. Any news on this returning? Remember hearing they removed that feature a few months before release. never cared about running on walls but dual pistols is what i want most

How can something that was never fully implemented "come back"? It was never there to begin with.

And nope, don't expect it to show up. It'd be crazy if it did but don't count on it.

Could deal without the sarcasm, but thanks for answering.

Would be a pretty cool feature to have, especially since we get two of Jackie's handguns and only ever get to use one at a time.

They could also go even further with this by combining cyberware with dual-wielding, so imagine you can only dual-wield hanguns... but if you equip Gorilla Arms then you'd be able to dual-wield shotguns like Rebecca does in Edgerunners :D

I sure wouldn't mind going wild with Mox and Guts in each hand in the game. If not in the expansion, then perhaps the sequel ^^

I'd say sequel could very likely do exactly what you're describing if they plan for it early on.

Do you have any source for that information? Seems very oddly specific, to be honest.

I'm willing to give you the benefit of a doubt, I am curious how you learned this, though.

"Interestingly, dual wielding was already seen in the first-ever gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077, albeit on an NPC. But there will be a lot of differences in the final product released on November 19 compared to that initial footage from August 2018, including the removal of the wall running depicted in the demo due to "design reasons.""

THAT is definitely wrong, no such announcement was made in Fall 2020.

I can find Marcin Momot (@Marcin360) on Twitter saying that there's no dual wielding in the game on 23rd July, 2020. That's neither an announcement, nor Fall.

It was a simple question that someone asked on Twitter and Marcin Momot hopped in to deny any rumor.

Yeah, no big deal indeed. I am not even saying that it was never planned, perhaps it was. But this is how the false expectations kept building up before the game's release; part of it was CDPR's fault but part of it was people's fault for spreading certain narratives.

This game had troubled development without a doubt but there's clearly care put into a lot of the elements and I personally disagree with saying that X or Y feature was "removed", unless there's proof or evidence that it was actually ever finalized and fully implemented to begin with.

Yea i followed the development. Still though, man, i swear i remember them saying it was removed when they said wall running was also. oh well. Ever had a situation where you KNOW with out a shadow of a doubt your right but ur not. ugh i hate that.

thanks for being civil, bro

If it wasn't planned then why the empty pistol slot you can't put anything in when you hold Alt and show the wheel?

I think it was planned but it was removed due to technical issues.

That isn't an empty slot, that's an icon for holstering weapons and it is there for accessibility reasons :D

On PC we get keybinds, but on consoles there are limited number of buttons and combinations, so it's in the radial menu because of ease of access. Plus how many people would figure out that tapping Triangle/Y twice also holsters the weapon.

In any case, dual-wielding was never a thing; Tweet from Marcin Momot a few months before release.
