Deleting all my Mods pls help
Is there a way to delete all the mods i have installed all at once and not doing them one by one? (other than deleting the whole game and re-downloading of course). I'm kinda new with modding i just downloaded what i like but didn't really think about when the time comes updating the mods when the game updates. could use some tips!

All the mods in downloaded are placed in one of these directories in the game's directory:
archive/pc/mod/
mods/
bin/x64/plugins/

Delete everything from there are you should probably fine.

For a full nuke from orbit, delete the following subfolders from your Cyberpunk 2077 folder (some may or may not be there, depending on which mods you had installed):

Archive
Bin
Engine
Mods
R6
Red4ext

Then ask Steam to verify file integrity, and redownload missing files.

There's no point to delete the whole archive folder ^ as it will delete almost entire game. Only archive\pc\mod affected by mods

Except some mods put custom configs in there.

Same with the engine folder. Most mods don't touch it, but some mods and their custom configs, it's a thing.

If you have terrible internet, then it might be worth trying to hunt the files down manually. Otherwise, just nuke from orbit and redownload.

Nope, there are no mods which put something inside archive folder directly, only in archive\pc\mod so nuking the whole folder does not make sense as its the whole game content (~68 Gb)

Yeah they do, Stealthrunner put an Input-loader config file in there just a couple versions back (don't think the latest version does, but then we don't know which versions people have installed).

The game won't load anything besides archive\pc\content\ and archive\pc\mod, maybe it was misplaced file ot something. If some mod put something outside pc\mod it won't affect the game in any way so deleting the whole archive folder is a bad call and still does not make any sense ;)

Sure it will.

I could make a mod right now that has ../archive/pc/ as the depot path for a custom .mlsetup file, put the file in there, and release it.

It would be dumb of me to do that (and obviously i won't), but i could.

Mb you could but no such mods exist atm so it still does not make your advice to nuke the whole archive folder better. Mods remover + validation is still the best option w/o redownloading the whole game. Peace.

This Mod Remover batch file works great and will both delete your active mods and back them up.

When the next big patch arrives, at a guess your simple .archive mods and REDmods should continue to work. However CET and anything that depends on CET, RED4ext, ArchiveXL, TweakXL and redscript will almost certainly break...basically anything Vortex labels 'Modders Resources'. Most of these were updated and working again within a few days after the last Patch, so let's hope our Mod Creator heroes are prepared to leap into the breach once again.

For myself, I'm prepared to play the vanilla un-modded game for a week or two until things are back to rights.
