headshots means you die quickly so move about when you shoot.
I would recommend upgrading your clothing if you can or spec so that you can and grab some armadillo mods or craft them. Your clothing by this point should have multiple mod spots for each piece and I would load it up with the armadillos that would help a lot.
You can also spend a few points on your spec to increase your armor rating by a few percentage points I believe and I would do that as well.
You should be able to reach over 1000 armor rating and can go much higher than that with a little effort.
Seems about right but like poster said above, gotta go make sure your worn clothing is on the level and if you have invested in Tech attribute should be able to socket armadillo on them.
After a mission, it is not a bad idea to compare all the armor you picked up to what you are wearing just to make sure its at least decent.
Also you might be able to equip legendary cyberarmor underweave, sorry the exact name escapes me but it gives ~300 armor value.
I have not seen any red icons above enemies heads. Last Mission I did was "Gig: Tyger and Vulture"
1000, Jesus. I honestly have not looked into any clothing vendors mods. I got a legendary shirt and some rare headgear and glasses and figured that i could upgrade them and they should carry me out for this next few levels
Got legend cyberskin and of course every level check my armor against what is available from loot, but also have Tech...So often just craft what I need and socket with epic level armadilla mod. IF on crafting an item it does not have a socket I might re-craft 2 or 3 times just to get a socket for the mod.
Anyway, if your first time on Hard, really your expected to keep up with the stat changes.
Attributes that matter are PHY, REF, TECH for just straight up being in the thick of it.
Tech because it adds 1% to total armor value per point you have and of course crafting really helps stay in high level, good rarity items, with sockets filled.
REF provides outright damage mitigation
PHY give hp, which honestly is not as nice as the two attributes I listed above.
I have been playing this game pretty stealthy up to this point and the few scuffles I did get into I usually put an end to before taking too much damage.
I been running around picking up bits of clothing here and there and scrapping the lower stats for a higher stats piece and upgrading gear whenever I can.
I haven't crafted any armor and I also haven't looked into armor mods because most of the early game I usually found better gear before even think of modding or crafting my own gear.
Do you happen to know or recommend anywhere I could find clothing and mod crafting recipes?
Well, some crafting recipes you end up getting as drops just doing main quest.
Heck I just did a main quest, and the armidilla mod dropped 3 times in the same room from loot chests.
Also if you do crafting if you look at the Attribute perk section you will see an experience gauge for the specific skill such as "crafting" level. The max your crafting level can be is the amount of points spent into the attribute but you still have to earn the experience in that perk tree. Rewards are "perks, abilities, cooldowns, buffs" in the case of crafting you can get free crafting recipes but require the associated perk to actually craft the tier that recipe is in.
Whats your attribute build been?
As I picked up legendary Defender with 500 DPS so it cuts thru most enemies. I also picked up an epic machete with 428 damage per hit at 565 DPS. I also have combat fists that deal over 600 DPS I believe so they def seem a bit OP.
So far I am handling all enemies no problem. I have 194 maxdoc MK1's in my inventory. So health is a non issue. As I literally dont need to heal with how quick my health restores. Which is currently at 363.
I have also picked up cyberware that makes me immune to shock and fire. I guess I have been a bit more lucky on my playthrough?
There are also some places on map that tell you the threat level. Just make sure to be prepared when you enter combat in those areas with a very high threat.
Also make sure you collect components or buy them at vendors so you can upgrade your clothing and weapons. This way you are scaling better with enemies and can remain in the fight better. When I pick up gear and almost full, that is when I see what is best and than do my upgrades. So far it has helped.
I mostly put them into tech and intelligence since quick-hacking and cyberware were my best friends.
I was able to get my armor up to about 850 after sorting my inventory and focusing on armor with mod slots rather then armor and then equipping a bunch of uncommon armadillo mods.
Still getting hit like a semi-truck but it is a bit better.
There is a side-quest that i am stuck on right now where there is three police officers beating a corpo suit in the back alley and i tell them to stop and immediately get shredded.
Edit: i am being dumb. Somehow didn't notice they had the three red bars of doom above their heads
Thats their combat style. Its not 3 bars but 3 bullets as they will use guns. Others have fists for melee and target icons so you know they are a sniper. If its highlighted in yellow it means to be cautious and red means they will do even more damage. Some also have red skulls which means you are going to be punished quick.
Just make sure to do a quick scan of the enemy/s before proceeding to better be prepared.
