Throwing Knives

Does throwing a knife count as either a strong attack or defensive attack? regardless you cant block with them anymore once you can throw em

neither if throwing them, that's using them in Melee combat. You can still do crit damage with them on head shot for extra damage. Tbh there not that good, it just looks cool using them. Can do way better head shot stealth damage with silencers on guns. Both being exactly the same in taking enemies out quietly. I had a build that complimented it's damage along with having them high grade and fully upgraded. Still didn't compare to a powerful gun with a silencer.

i came to the same conclusion about their viability lmao. ive got a silenced overture and it blows throwing knives out of the water but theyre still really fun. i use pistols and mantis blades too so if im trying to proc bleed before ripping someone to shreds to get the health back ill throw a knife but otherwise its kinda a wasted slot. Actually, thinking about throwing knives, do they count for the backstab perk (its not called backstab but thats what it is)? If they do then they might actually have pretty good damage after that crazy investment

Honestly, i think the best way to view them is as an extra combat option for melee builds, where you can add some range to your melee options.

For stealthy players they aren't really viable. Silenced Overture über alles.
