A zombie mode would be fun
Or a zombie mission: there is a zombie outbreak somewhere in the city.
V and a few other mercs from the afterlife have to go there and wipe out the infection.
:steamhappy:
Would be so cool if the mission can be played online also, with friends.

In a futuristic world of infinite possibilities. Filled with digital constructs, cybernetics, artificial rogue AIs, the vast unexplored and unknown cyberspace beyond the Blackwall, the fascinating factions that inherit Night City, all the fantastic original characters and the philosophical theories of what makes a soul... lets toss in the most extremely overused and artistically cheapest generic trope in gaming; zombies.

Yeah... can't say I even remotely think the idea is fun or cool. May as well ask for Ubisoft towers with daily quests too at that point :D

Dying Light exists. Great game, can recommend if you're into zombie co-op

Cyberpsychos who can move like The Flash pose little threat to a fully tricked out V. Zombies would certainly not be much of a threat in this world. In many cases, they would be trying to bite through chrome when attacking victims. Night City would crush conventional zombies and make it look easy. lol

Yes to all that, but we know game devs, so it will be next year maybe?

i feel like it would only work in a BD/gaming type of setting. similar to rivers final quest.

nope

It could kinda fit in with the lore. You have dolls and stuff like that. Who's to say some crazy madman doesn't find some way to take over a bunch of dolls and use them as a zombie army or something?

You mean like cyberpsychos?

i casn't believe people still want zombies in everry damn game these days. zombies were cool from march 2002 until april 2002. i wish zombies would have never been thought of. playing mlb and some dude was wanting zombies in baseball. really?? i pray that the near future the word zombie in all iteration is stricken from all records and the word disappears from all languages across the entire universe. NO MORE ZOMBIES IN EVERYTHING ANYMORE!!! GRRRRRR LOL

I think having a bunch of Cyber Psychos with a bunch of bodies and blood would be better. Zombies are kinda overdone.

I completely agree that within the universe of Cyberpunk 2077, a bunch of cyberpsychos would be a better fit.
I think this big stadium where you cannot enter in the map might be the right place for this mission.

Am I the only one who would like the game to have some multiplayer cooperative mode?
You are immerse in this world, and since you can put a lot of hours in the game, it feels terribly lonely at times. There is only a handful of missions where some NPCs are helping you.

a robot ai uprising may be more in line here.

cyber psychos are pretty much zombies just not the horde situations zombie tropes have. it is normally not about any one but the amount as they are slow and dumb traditionally where cyber psychos are the opposite. yes opposite but so opposite almost seems intentional.

Yeah but it's not that big of a stretch. You could have some netrunner releasing a virus that's spreading and causing people to turn into "zombies" or something. They wouldn't be actual Walking Dead zombies just normal people with their implants malfunctioning and making them act like zombies.

Fun fact; that entire part of Pacifica which is walled off and in complete ruin and decay is actually overrun exclusively by cyberpsychos. It's a warzone free-for-all in there.

There are two civilians standing right next to its gates near the Voodoo Chapel, talking about how cyberpsychos are dumped inside in order to contain them and the girl even caught attention of one. And there's also a heli unleashing miniguns and rockets into a building when we meet the Voodoos.
