So if you care about these things, then yeah, it gives something.
But you wont get, dunno, another perk point from it, or a nice hat.
What you can learn from it:
Evelyn had no idea what she was doing there. She picked up a few lines of conversation from the VDBs, and came to the conclusion that she can make big money out of it, even though she didn't understand any of it.
Also, the VDBs knew they couldn't trust her... which is of course interesting, especially when you consider their usual treatment of outsiders. Hints at certain possibilities.[/(spoiler]
