Do I miss out badly by murdering Fingers?
I googled what happened if I kept him alive, right after punching him unconscious and blasting his head open with a double barrel. Will I massively regret this? or is it not a big deal.

He was such a slimy crackhead, I had to kill him.

From a gameplay perspective you lose him as a Ripperdoc along with all the unique cyberware he may sell. Just like the Ripperdoc in Kabuki and his unique cyberware.

From a story perspective though, he is the only person able to fix Joytoys because those poor girls have nobody else to turn to, so they choose the lesser evil, which unfortunately involves being sexually abused (hint at the sex cyberwares in his private room).

If they don't get help from him, they're permanently disposed of (evident by all the various private messages and their bullying pimps).

So it isn't a black and white decision. He is scummy and slimy and completely without morals, in fact that whole area of Japantown is. But those poor Joytoy girls have nobody else to turn to for help. They're dead without him.

But... it is a roleplaying game in which choices matter, so you're supposed to go with your gut feeling and do what you feel is the proper thing to do. Your V, your choices, your story.

I personally didn't kill him nor punch him, as much as I would have loved to bring the apocalypse of pain upon him and everyone involved with Clouds. Sometimes some things simply cannot be fixed and have to keep going on, despite how brutal it may be. He is just a tiny cog in a much bigger machine.

Go see him before you get the gig to break into his place, buy the stuff then you can do him in later and not miss out.

Fingers has some unique and very desirable cyberware, so buy it before you go to question him. Then, do what you feel. I don't think he's the worst ripperdoc in the game however.

It's weird. I killed him, I had a conversation with an NPC (Judy I think) about how I killed him, then I wound up back at his place and he was alive again. So I killed him again.

You miss out on some cyberware for that playthrough but it's no great loss, more fun to slug him

Everything marked red is exclusive to Fingers' store, he has some real good cyberware available. If anything you can let him go but kill him after you buy his ♥♥♥♥.

There's always mods if you can't access those cyberwares, Virtual Atelier adds online stores in the game that can include cyberwares.
