Garry the Prophet

I just tried to initiate the side job with him, I spoke to him 3 times but now the quest mark not showing up again after I leave the area. So I'm not even sure where to find him again without the mark.

Is it normal ?

Thanks for all input again. I'm going to leave the quest as it is for now. I visited him the first time and gave him 1$. so the marker is still there for now. I'm going to move foward with other quests and if it fails then too bad I cannot restart all my progressoin. I'm not far into the main quest chain, however I did so many GIG and side quest up for now, I'm not gonna waste 17 hours of gameplay for him lol.

I don't know if it's still the case but Johnny appears at the end so you can't do it in act 1 anymore.

I do remember doing it in act 1 a long time ago so they may have added the Johnny part later.

i just talked to him and just let the bystanders kill him lol but still the side job mark is there lololololol poor garry

FYI I am only at the main quest ''The Information''. I completed many GIG and side quests thought, mostly all of them up to that point.

There is one encounter that involves a couple Nomads that you have to defend Garry from being killed by that will automatically trigger if you're anywhere near close to him, including inside Misty's.

If he's no longer there then that's the only thing I can think of that would cause it as far as his storyline goes.

Garry is probably one of my favorite NPCs, I always wish his set of side quests/conversations were a little longer.

Gary gave quests? lol. All I got from him was begging for donations. In my first playthrough I gave him some but on my second playthrough on a diff build I spoke to some Nomads near him and told them to mess him up. Now the quest marker wont get lost. I don't see why there would be an option for you to bonk him if it made zero difference.

As much as I liked CP2077 from the start it seems game companies chat a lot of bluster when it comes to actual conversations which affect anything in a game that resemble choices. You pretty much have 2 outcomes (3 if you're lucky) from repeated playthroughs or reloads.
