Go through and get your updates, and you should be good.

This was the final update I needed for everything to work (I have cybermod, CET, red4ext, redscript, tweakxl, etc...)

Note the important part, even if you are using Vortex.

"Before updating to this version make sure to remove the previous RED4ext loader to do so:
* Go to bin/x64 directory.
* Right click on d3d11.dll and select Properties.
* If "File description" field is containing "RED4ext" then remove the file."

Finally was able to launch and load game.

Red4ext is a part of a compiler for Redmod extended features and after it got updated, and installed as I said above, the game booted no problem and I loaded in fine to my most recent save from the night before the patch. This was the primary fix most people running Archive XLs needed to play the game again.

Many people on Nexus reported the same after this mod fix.

Removed the d3d11.dll file that contained the RED4ext reference and installed the new red4Ext, and still no go. Game crashes after the start page.

As of writing, "redscript" has still not yet been updated for the new patch, many are suspecting this is the culprit behind the crashes - check regularly to see if it gets a new version, however, the author claims "it doesn't need one"(!)

If you're having trouble with crashes due to mods I would suggest you get updated versions of all the following mods, I suspect many modders have them installed:

-Appearance Change Unlocker
-Appearance Menu Mod
-ArchiveXL
-Equipment-EX
-Mod-settings
-RED4ext
-redscript
-TweakXL
-Virtual Atelier
-Cyber Engine Tweaks
-Cybercmd

I would suggest checking back for new versions every evening. Alternatively you could fallback to the previous version of Cyberpunk 2077 (detailed how-to somewhere else in the discussions), this update was mainly an Nvidia 4000 series gimmick catnip anyway.

Tried it and it worked. Just deleted the previous Red4ext folder and uploaded the updated version, didn't have to delete the d3d11.dll file. These are the mods that I reinstalled with the newest version and was good to go:

- Cyber Engine Tweaks
- redscript
- Equipment-EX
- ArchiveXL
- TweakXL
- Red4ext

The only mod I don't have from your list is Cybercmd. I don't think redscript is the issue. The startup for me was in low framerate but fixed itself after going in-n-out of the settings menu.

I tried reinstalling Red4ext ONE more time myself just to be sure, deleting everything previous, but no go.

There are millions of PC configurations in the world, so it could be any number of issues.. But remember, alot of people with clean installs and no mods are crashing on startup as well.

Let's keep at it, the rest of us lot.

I have all the most used mods from nexus after a bunch of testing let their be flight and mod settings are both giving the script crash. After installing the available updates on nexus everything else is working fine for me.

and so much more I lost count and they worked great until they came to ♥♥♥♥ this up and I was starting to have fun with the game..after that it just pisses me off uninstalling and installing cleaning and fixing..♥♥♥♥ it
half of that should be the developers inserting into the game in DLC they never gave us

Ok, new discovery: If I delete the "scripts" folder under the "r6" folder, then the game starts, with a warning that no scripts are behaving correctly and will not be loaded. Basically, vanilla game. Now to start a process of elimination..

P.S! If you do this, be sure to make a backup of your "scripts" folder!
