Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077

The game keep crashing at start up
Anyone else having this issue?
I did verify files and it started up but then crashed again after 5 minutes.
Then I started it up again and it crashed immediately.
The game is sending crash reports so I hope it can be fixed.
I don't think it is anything on my end.

After the latest update, my cyberpunk 2077 crashed
The game states that certain files are missing or something similar when I launch it. How then should I go about fixing it?

Note: In it, I've got mods.

You can try the following;

Right click on the game in your Steam library > Local Files > Verify the game files.

Since you mentioned you're using mods, you need to properly remove them or wait for them to get updated. Depending on what the mods do however, I would not recommend removing them if you intend to continue your current playthrough.

If none of that worked, then removing all of the files related to Cyberpunk manually and then reinstalling it should completely solve it:
  • Cyberpunk 2077 folder in your client’s directory (Steam, GOG, EGS)
  • Cyberpunk 2077 folder from here: %userprofile%\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\
  • REDEngine folder from here %userprofile%\AppData\Local\
  • CD Projekt Red folder from here: %userprofile%\AppData\Local

Verifying files did nothing for me. I moved the install target to a different drive on Steam and downloaded a fresh install on a different drive, no mods applied...and that worked, although some of my saves were based on mods so are a little wonky right now.

Good luck.

I have exactly the same situation, and problem, my game has some mods too. can they roll back the update, obviously the issue. Worked perfectly prior to the update. Uninstalled, deleted mods and reinstalled and still the same problem.

I don't think 'uninstalling' mods really deletes all the relevant files or changes made to basic game files. That's why I did a fresh install on a different drive.

i always go about deleting archive/pc/mod, bin, engine, r6, red4ext, and anything in mods then verify game integrity. works every time. mind you that mods like let there be flight requires a 3rd party bat file that they provide to fully uninstall without issues.

I dont have any mods and I am unable to play. As soon as I hit play in the launcher it crashes. I did verify the files and that did not solve the issue.

I cant even launch the game now, does anyone know why? Any recommendations? It flat lines instantly....

Same here. Reinstalled the game but keeps crashing when loading newer modded game files.
Old ones seem to work fine.
Its BS man, I hope they fix it soon.
