CPU Bottleneck?
Hi guys, new player here.

CPU constantly running at 100% wherever I go, causing fps dips and constant stutters. Any mods / optimizations that might help?

PC SPECS -
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz
Installed RAM - 16.0 GB
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080

will do. any chances i can slightly improve performance?
You can lower your screen resolution and/or graphics quality, but it should only be a temporary fix. Your cpu is holding your graphics card back from utilizing it's full potential, and the the only way to really fix it is to get a better cpu.

What do you expect from i5 8400? It’s never been an optimal choice for gaming.

It depends on your budged, because you would also have to buy a new motherboard.

Lowering "Crowd Density" in the game settings will help a lot to your CPU. This is a pure CPU-bound setting. I've set mine to Medium and got some FPS boost. You might even want to put it on Low with you CPU model.

lowering crowd density in the gameplay settings is a good way of lowering cpu usage, i probably wouldn't recommend lowering res, the visual hit is too high. there are mods that might lower usage.

your CPU is not meant to play any AAA games released in the last few years, any CPU without at least 6 cores AND hyperthreading will bottleneck like no tomorrow.

4-thread CPU LOL
Cyberbug is just unoptimized crap.
Dying light 2 is the only game in this list that can be considered as a modern AAA and is extremely outdated in both graphics and gameplay compared to almost every other title released recently which means it doesn't put as much weight on CPU, but even considering that you're telling me that an unstable 50 FPS that dips in the 30s is playable? Im sorry but if you have extremely low standards it doesn't mean that it's the norm. Cyberpunk is a graphical masterpiece and it's not CDPRs fault if your office computer can't run it, as i always say if you can't even afford a medium range PC just go back to consoles.
