Is this normal for my CPU??

Is it just me? cause my i9 13900K CPU temperature went up and down between 70 to 85 c and sometime rarely hit 90 c with or without ray tracing. Is this normal?

I believe there is something unironically going on with 13th gen intel, like the actual platform. A lot of reports of this in various games from what I've seen.

Do you have prebuilt system or self built? Have you checked the thermal paste and has it been distributed evenly?

task manager rarely gives accurate readings on GPU usage. use something else like CPU-Z. (what is with people with having high spec machines not knowing what they do)

Repaste that puppy ASAP! I have the same CPU and an AIO cooler and I'm not braking above 48C with everything maxed out.

Just so you know i'm not using a task manger to read my CPU temperature... I am using both MSI afterbunner and HWMonitor. (I know what the hell i am doing)

It's normal for i9 13900k to run above 80.

I'm having a very similar problem with an i7 12700 processor. My fan is Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo H2. Many games are installed on my system, but unfortunately my processor can rise to 90 degrees Celsius in Sons of the Forest and Cyberpunk 2077.

definitely not normal. I have a new built system with a 13900k and a 4090 and my water cooling never gets my CPU above 50c with everything super maxed out in game. I have the corsair h150 elite 360mm. I'm unsure which cooler you have exactly and how big it is, but definitely should not be reaching 90c degrees lol.

I don't find it normal, no matter what CPU.

I don't have an Intel, but how high is your CPU load while playing?

You are probably playing on a 60fps monitor or something. Impossible. I have i9 13900 with 4070ti and on rt ultra dlss quality fg 1440p settings i get 120-140 fps. Cpu sits around 70-85 celsius with a double fan air cooler
