Can you become a night city legend without beating the game?

I ask because you can pretty much keep raising your street cred but it feels like it slows or just stops at 90% and doesn't go up regardless of what you do. maybe I'm going nuts but so far I'm sitting at around 60% in my second playthrough.

Well, certain characters will react different to you if you have a high street cred, but it's very minor. Street cred does become harder to leveled the higher you go, but that's like RPGs 101.

Yes you can 100% get lvl 50 Street Cred and the achievement Legend of Night City before beating the game. It's actually super easy if you are doing the various NCPD events, and gigs and side jobs. You don't even need the mod that boosts your street cred rewards. I'm currently still in Act....2 I guess? Before the Parade event, and I've been lvl 50 Street Cred for a while

It's actually really funny to me, how you can easily get to lvl 50, but then everyone still talks to you like you are some new choom chump still wet behind the ears from your first gig.

You mean the first, reading left to right, of the 3 numbers on the menu screen (all 3 of which are percentages) and not the /50 street cred, right?

I think the only way to get that to 100% is to finish the game, yeah. Before the final mission my numbers always read 90/70/40.
