Probably the second you exit it knowing this game
This is the answer to the OP .
Some just fix the insta-disappear, where you pop out of your borrowed ride to fight or engage with a vendor, and poof car go byebye.
There's one in-the-works that's gonna make it very GTA-meets-NFS; you klep a car and have to quickhack it fast, ala Edgerunners David learning to drive in like ep3... if you don't hack in time, alarm goes off, NCPD badge 2 response and will close in on you quick (and cars are a lot easier to kill than you are, by a certain point, and if the car dies, you die) you then have to lose the cops, and after you do? Your car. Cept it doesn't auto-repair when it's smokin' you delta or flatline, then klep another. Or install one of the car dealer mods. and dump that heap o scop for a few eddies before it's trashed.
You can of course just steal them, might require some skills, especially if its a nice car.
You can't repair stolen cars though, so better drive carefully.
Thankfully this game has very, very good vehicle persistance. If you park a car somewhere, and its not a place where other vehicles are spawned, it'll just stays there forever. I had stolen cars parked on the sidewalk for (ingame) months.
Yeah, that really should be a feature in the game.
You can use this mod for that: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/790
(Marked as adult apparently, you need to have an account to see it.
Unfortunately, CD Project made a different choice : offer a batch of vehicles, some of which are unique (cosmetically or custom) and others identical to those that NPCs may also have.
At the same time, it's a bit normal and logical, if we really lived in this universe, we could neither own only unique vehicles (not mass-produced: this is generally reserved for elites who pay a fortune for that) nor just vehicles that everyone can own, since V sometimes gets customized vehicles for one reason or another, related to his job...
That said, CD Project should have added vehicles that are missing for purchase as well as very interesting missing colors or customizations, which can be seen among the vehicles that spawn randomly in certain places or driven by NPCs...
Not necessarily all but a few more, among the most beautiful or stylish...
For example, I prefer black (only) and red (only) vehicles, especially bikes and sports cars...
I love this car, a Pontiac Firebird (1982 model) revamped especially for the series !
It should have been modified a little to make it a little more modern and adapted to Cyberpunk 2077, in particular its dashboard, although it was already quite a lot in the series, from the 2nd or 3rd season, if I remember correctly...
