Post-GPU upgrade: "Assertation Failed" crash on startup
I've recently upgraded to a RTX 3060ti and whenever I go to start the game I get the following error:

(Window Name): Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Assertion Failed! Program: ((User))\AppData\Roaming\Parsec\parsecd-150-85c.dll File: imgui/imgui.cpp Line: 3669 Expression: (g.IO.DeltaTime > 0.0f || g.FrameCount == 0) && "Need a positive DeltaTime!" For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see Visual C++ documentation on asserts. (Press Retry to debug the application - JIT must be enabled)

During this I also get a black screen that is very difficult to alt-tab away from and I usually have to wait till it goes away to even read the error.

I have the most up-to-date drivers from Nvidia and I've fully updated my PC (Win10) and this game worked prior to the upgrade (though I haven't played in a long time)

Unsure if it helps but I also can't run Red Dead Redemption 2 either, and that throws me a "Failed to initialize graphics device" error on startup

reinstall microsoft visual c++? seems like its borked somehow.

if that doesn't work then you might just need to reinstall windows 10.

Try doing the basics.
- verify game files
- disable any mods

You might be having issues because you have an old save. If you can get into the game try a new game.
Hopefully somebody with more PC knowledge can help you out. Good Luck.

-I've verified and reinstalled the game and sadly no luck.
-i have no mods to my knowledge

I can't even reach the menu, I instantly get the error and a black screen takes over my monitor before it finishes crashing

Try opening cmd as administrator and type: sfc /scannow .... maybe some corrupt system files this could fix,

considering his error message i doubt its the games fault, most likely a software error related to visual c++

OP look up the error message "Microsoft Visual C++ assertion failed" on google, there might be some potential fixes on the microsoft forums.

Never had problems with cyberpunk but I used to get the same error in red dead and it was due to resizable bar. After I disabled it in bios it ran fine. For some reason it works with it enabled now but for a long time it stopped me running a few games might be worth a shot?
