No. The expansion will be the last major thing done on RedEngine according to their current plans. *If* there's multiplayer of any sort in the future then from what we know at the moment it would have to be for Cyberpunk 2, which is years away from release.

Probably not in red engine, no. But CDPR have said that their future games will feature multiplayer. As in, most of them, not just one.

So the upcoming new Cyberpunk game (which will use Unreal 5) will have multiplayer almost guaranteed. The bad thing is that that game is years away.

Short answer: No

Long anwer: This game here, Cyberpunk 2077, will most likely never have any MP features. It was developed in red-engine, and thats a pure single-player engine. From all that we know, cdpr dropped the idea of adding MP capabilities to this engine.
Now if you read what the said about MP (which changed a lot over the years), the last thing is that the are looking into adding MP features into existing titles. So maaaaaybe, there will be at some point a remake using unity with some MP capabilities. Maybe.
Or maybe it'll be the next Cyberpunk title.

cdpr are giving one big final update to the game then dropping red engine since its new partnership with epic games to make ue5 better for open world games. which they stated the newest witcher and cyberpunk spinoff will be on ue5 so no. no multiplayer

Actually.... Yes.
But only on PC, only via mods, and only co-op.
Its buggy as hell right now. Seen a vid of it on YouTube. Whoever hosts seems to be their V.
The friend joining was wearing Jackie's mesh/skin (lol)
Jumpy and jittery.
Players had to use separate cars.
The co-op player was gliding instead of walking.

Its in early phase, but its being worked on.

Vanilla tho.....no, not likely to happen in 2077.

i hope they don't waste time working on multiplayer going forward, they've got much better things to do.
