I made it through "quiet" in the end. But one stand out quickload timeline was-
"Snipe the non-sniper guard right in front of the computer you need to hack with silenced iconic panam sniper"
YOU HAVE BEEN FOUND OUT! THERE ARE SOLDIERS ALREADY BEHIND YOU ON TOP OF THIS PILE OF SHIPPING CRATES THAT IS 4 FLOORS TALL YOU CYBER JUMPED ON TOP OF!
*reload, does it again*
You are the perfect master of stealth nobody saw a thing. Also there is no guard up here standing directly behind you, how would they even get here, why are you checking?
(yes I know cameras exist. I hacked em all first).
And then I left by just brazenly sprinting in a straight line out back towards those crates and mario leaping out of the building when the roof opens (I coulda used the door I came in, but that isn't as cool).
Along those lines. just another reason I started to prefer system reboot over suicide. the fine print of "This hack is counted as a silent takedown" seems to bully the AI. "Someone is going to notice that sniper hanging halfway off that ledge... any minute now... huh. guess not."
The mission chain in general seems wonky. Before entering the warehouse some truck fun.
If I shoot the driver with a silenced weapon, psychic cops start spawning drones behind me.
If I shamelessly stand under the overpass with arasaka guards, and carjack the truck throwing the screaming driver onto the ground, and then he runs screaming into the night past the guards line of sight, nobody cares.
later. even just talking with Takamura was buggy. I could only select conversation options in the lead up to parade Oclock, if I entered scan mode. And it took two reloads to get my minimap back while hunting down parade snipers.
Hacking is the best path through this quest though a pure stealth build can manage most of it. Landing on that one guy's head is a bit of an art though.
huh, didn't think of that. I never noticed any unless there was an ongoing alert. I have the perk that highlights who detected me too. I'll give it another stealth shot and keep a look out. Though that still doesn't explain everyone getting alerted/entering combat when all bodies are underground in the locker room and i am in the underground tunnel. Thanks for the tip my guy!
ignore the guy that walks to the laptop (after shutting off or setting the camera behind me) first and just go behind the bins to get to the other guard. THEN go after the guard by the laptop.
go down the stairs and sneak into the room with the single guy on monitors ground floor, single guy upstairs (on the phone, talking about money) i grab the purple (shard i think? cant remember lol, its late for me) then head downstairs two floors into the maintanance tunnels.
there is a door that you can ether use body or tech on, i go thru there.
there is a sticky spot with some doors near where the mech walks up and down, but you can wait for the guys to move into the building and then just quickly pop thru the doors, hang a right and go thru another set of doors
instead of going the standard way around (i learned to not follow the minimap trail on this one) i got thru the containers (under the platform area, into the open containers ect) then i wait till i get to the back of the containers.
go to the end, where the one guard you have to get behind to get to the pc to instal the malware is standing. ether hit him with reboot optics, or if you have managed to get some optical camo or one of the other quickhacks like memory wipe ect, i would use that. instead of sneaking in thru that door, go down the side an round the back, you can sneak in nearer the back and just quickly pop the pc.
then i just return the same way. forget trying to get out by the roof, i just retrace my steps back the way i came in
(because every time i tried to go out the way it wanted, or follow the minimap line, i got spotted, or stepped on by guards or that mech XD)
there is a guy on the gate thats having a breakdown. as an ex Corpo you can go up to him and bluff your way thru via name dropping the one that had you kicked from the corop (abernathy, wasnt it?)
havent done it that way myself, but thats what ive seen someone on utube show.
you basicaly threten to drop the gate guard in the stinky, and he will let you in, comp you an access token and then you can walk casualy in past most of the outside guards, from what i have seen
I did it again with a netrunner build. No weapons because I was RPing not being able to get any past security, hacked all the guards and blew up all 6 drones.
