Why does nvidia keep setting my resolution to 4k?
It causes massive lag in the map and doesn’t feel as smooth, plus I only have a 1080p monitor so idk why it’s doing it.

Happens every time I open GeForce experience to check for drivers

Make sure you turn off Geforce Experience's "game optimization".

If you are using GeForce Experience, you might have it set up to auto optimize games.

Well if it is set on that it’s doing a terrible job

Yeah, it is enabled by default through GeForce Experience, so it has to be unchecked after it's installed.

The opposite happened to me, I always had issues with AMD drivers.

I do not use GeForce Experience optimization though.

I have to say, I don't have a great card so I actually tried the GeForce experience once, it set my resolution to 800x600 and everything was on low, nice framerate though. I have a 1080p widescreen.
