Epistrophy damage the car

No matter what I try, nothing works.
Anyone have an idea how to damage the car so I can proceed with the quest?
Tried damaging it with cars and weapons and reloading but to no avail

If I remember correctly, shooting the car in the front will get the engine smoking. I've also used a bat in the past hitting in the same spot. Takes a while. Good luck.

I just blow it up with grenades. Delamain gets mad but it doesn't matter.

After spending half an hour trying to damage the car by using my own car, i just gave up and threw a grenade on it, and it worked lol

just reload a save and shoot it again. i've heard of it being bugged for some people.

It can bug out to require a stupid amount of damage. One time I shot it 40 times with over watch to finally stop it.

overwatch doesn't actually do much damage. It relies on you getting headshots to get decent output. Cars don't have heads for you to shoot. Use the O'Five instead. Explosive rounds. Should tear it up pretty good.

This could be what the OP did. On my very first play through, I assumed it was intended that I play smash up derby with the car. But that doesn't work. The OP hasn't responded yet, but they literally just need to hit it was their preferred weapon type.

I rammed it off the road and used my own car to block it and then got out and just kept hitting it enough with my bat until the mission updated
