From what ive read and watched, it really does not do much if anything for performance on the 30 series and below cards, (I wish it did I have a 3080 Ti), I think its an Hardware encoding issues on the new RT cores, its just built for 40 series sand that is pretty much that I'm afraid.
but fingers crossed cause thats all the proof needed to see it's possible
It's obvious that it's built for the 40 Series Cards. I'm just curious about seeing how other cards, other than the 40 Series, handle the DLSS 3 feature. Think of it as exploring all the different paths, dialogues and endings for CP2077. Haven't really seen anyone have any expectations of it running just as well on anything but the 40 Series. I'm guessing maybe it just irritates you a bit, that the feature isn't as exclusive as you'd like it to be?
NVIDIA did release their latest update to support it though (522.25), I've only been able to use DLSS Frame Generation on A Plage Tale: Requiem so far. Couldn't see that option on Flight Simulator, Hitman 3 nor Spiderman Remastered. They're probably still tweaking it.
Shortly after making my post I dove into the process... the config was never released by the exploiter.. and people are calling BS on him
I think CP2077 should be great also. I just hope it wont be very long until they release it, I want to start a new game :D
I couldn't make sense of that reddit post either. There is a review build with it enabled which went out to journalists etc., you can see it on steamdb if you check, it's not a 'change a config file' thing.
The internal QA branch was updated again today, three times this week now, so they're obviously still working on whatever is to come. Whenever they intend to release it.
