That's the world of cyberpunk, its all advertisements and the game has a very anti corporation message. Night City breaks everyone eventually, unless you die a legend.

Fingers has a lot of unique and powerful cyberware. Charles, not so much. Fingers is not the worst ripperdoc in Night City.

exactly. the city is designed to make most people sell themselves in one way or another. or be a homeless person and be preyed upon by everyone else.

I've both killed and not killed various characters. I usually end up agreeing to whatever they offer, taking the stuff, then killing them.

Actually, I kept them both alive. I got Charles mixed up with another character, mainly because I never bothered to remember their names. Charles is a ripper and I'm fairly certain that I know the gig that the OP is referring to.

I found both scenarios to be a bit of a grey area.

Witcher 1 had a quest involving a cannibal-by-choice and an option to kill him or not as ways to resolve the quest. I either missed dialogue explaining whether he was a "scavenger" cannibal or a "murderer" cannibal or the game doesn't give that detail. The swamp he lives in is replete with corpses that he wasn't involved with so I spared him since there isn't an option to send the cannibal to therapy or whatnot, however it was something I thought about for a while; after all Geralt in my game spared a werewolf (which his job is to hunt) while the cannibal was a human who Geralt found disgusting. The game suggests a problem for Witchers was that they too could be considered monsters in a similar way to the cannibal (or werewolf who Geralt liked as a person), and Geralt was concerned that he could become a monster himself. I feel like Fingers is a similar choice. My V in first playthrough didn't punch him and held Judy back. I also think there is a message on a computer somewhere that implies he helps people in bad situations but I might be mistaking it for someone else.

No you are correct.

Fingers is a pervert (but tbh the definition is kinda unfair imo) - he accepts sexual services from his customers as alternative payment.

He is doing business, apparently also with prostitutes (although i think Evelyn was a special case).

The points why everybody is hating him:

- Sweet poor Evelyn triggers the "protector" instinct of many players
- he is a ugly man
- everybody loves sweet poor Judy

But in fact if you think about it, you and Judy are rushing into his shop, threating him with force and violence, insulting him and demand his assistance.

Im pretty sure a guy like Fingers surviving NC for decades would be open for more diplomatic solutions to give you needed information.

But typical Judy: She is hot-headed, egoistic, naive and not smart in dealing with the underground scene.

Fingers, like i said, may be a ugly pervert man, but neither is actively doing any harm to any customer not he is a pig like Joana Koch for example.

In fact he is helping the desperated and poor by offering them support where the whole city is not willing to do. Cops, Trauma-Team, Mayors, Hospitals...none of them are helping the prostitue on the streets when they have no money.

Fingers is a kid at heart compared to some fixers, if you kill Fingers why don't you kill Wakako? Because you need her.

And anyway the best way to play this game is not to kill everyone, I find that at this level CD Project is one of the editors that leaves you the most personal reflections to advance in the game.

If you do the whole game you will have much more difficult decisions to make in order to progress correctly and in the end be satisfied with your Night City.

You can also try to kill all the police officers in NC, if you like!

And finally the best Cyberware that Fingers can sell you only appear if you have reached a certain level.

And you can use the cheat mods that give you everything and make the game even easier, but usually it's the same people who cry after, saying the game is too easy.
