lifepath choices
haven't finished the game yet but gotta ask, which lifepath is more useful? playing corpo path right now and getting lots of dialogue related to it from main and side story.

Depends what you mean by 'useful'? They all have a few quests where being on that lifepath offers an alternative (easier) resolution and dialogue which provides a bit of lore/background to characters. Nomad offers a couple of extra vehicle choices (cosmetic appearance of a bike and an additional car) but that's about as far as it goes on that score. They're mainly aimed at the story telling, and you can choose a mirror ending which fits with the theme of the introduction.
Basically each lifepath gives you a different object, like Corpo gives you a gun you don't get in the other paths.
Useful? Corpo has the most unique dialogue out of all three life-paths.
They all just add 20 min intros at the beginning of the game and then throughout the game, you'll have a unique dialogue option here and there depending on your life path.
In my opinion the least 'useful' is street kid since the unique dialogue for those is usually quite cringe in my opinion (similar to many of the 'cool' dialogue options). Corpo is most interesting in my opinion since the main characters you interact with are mostly corps, and you can pretend to be slick. But if you have a specific ending in mind (eg panams) you could pick a lifepath that would follow that for roleplaying purposes. In the end, The life path means hardly anything in the game and I wouldn't sweat it too much
the way of the corp you get an exclusive iconic weapon but if you want to play a more real story it would be a v man street boy and what makes the most sense for the story of the game.
Corpo‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Street Kid‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Nomad
‎ ‎ ‎ 🡮 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 🡣‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 🡧
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Street Kid anyway

Doesn't really matter which is more "useful" since it all funnels the same, and you get the same options with quests regardless. Subtle dialogue choices here and there based on your beginning don't ultimately matter. Everything is accessible and completable just as it would be if you picked Nomad.

I disagree each life path has different quests and changes items received between them if you are a street kid you know more about the city if you are a corp you know the corporations and if you are a nomad you will have more options with conversations aldecaldos say that it is all the same thing and lie nomad gets jackie welles' bike tuned, others don't and so on so it's not all the same.
a v street kid can be friends with the maelstrom since he knows the gangs and hates the corps and he has an exclusive dialogue with them

Nomad going to Star ending is almost a traditional Western, riding into a town filled with corruption, cleaning it up, rejecting the dichotomy offered to ride off into the sunset. It was a very tonally different playthrough to leaning into streetkid to Sun for me.
The life paths are mostly irrelevant. 90% of the playthrough is the same regardless of the choice, and the biggest impact is just some dialog choices. It's basically like you have dialog choices for each stat, and then you have one for your background. It's mostly just flavor.

It's more like 98% of the game nothing matters, and almost nothing matters beyond changing the next dialogue choice.

Corpo is the quickest life path to get to the main game, there's more corpo-specific dialogue (but still not much), it's still pretty much written as if V is a street kid (with a very few street kid specific additional dialogues).

Can't argue with that. V does use alot of street slang, that none of the nomads or Corpos use.

I don't know about Street Kid being written for, Either Street Kid or Nomad seems potentially fitting as there was length of time they were in city before the "cutscene" finishes.

Just an Example, not knowing fixers (Where as the Street Kid worked with one directly with no hint of them boosting the job) The story is a jumbled mess. Probably had teams writing it as each of them for parts but the project was never really finished.

Especially given that they spend their lives as a corpo/nomad and then just 6 months in night city and suddenly they are street-smart slang-talking hood kids.
