Also you playing level, easy to very hard really means it in this game. Go into the wrong area on very hard and you die quickly if you use the same tactics.
Treat it like an RPG where character progression and clever use of the environment, items and preparation is key to being deadly, not like.. Call of Duty, for example. Hope this helps. Ask me more if you need. I'm playing Perma-Death, Very Hard, No HUD, atm ;)
However, in my opinion I found it made the game waaaaay too easy, and ended up removing it again. Also, with so many enemies being more machine than human, a certain amount of durability makes sense.
What's the core of the gamethen? To need 200 bullets for one enemy? Bullet sponges works in MMO's but imo it's dumb in games like CP, because it also wants to be immersive. That's why i want to mod this game. I want more immersion. If i want it to be ez, then i simply install a trainer and activate godmode. It's kinda sad that this thread needs tons of answers and only one reply helps me with that problem while all the others are complaining about my wish or my perspective how i want to play the game. Doesn't help anyone and it's also kinda annoying. Thanks anyway to that dude who gave me the link.
Lol, then go ahead and install that mod, play the game how you want. Even the guy who posted it said it made the game too easy. Try it out for yourself, you be the judge. But don't complain when people that have put hundreds of hours into the game share their opinions with you, with good intent, trying to help out on an open discussion that you started.
I even said at the end "Ask me more if you need" .. Just be aware that mod will break many aspects of the game's original intent and it will probably make 90% of the game's systems / mechanics / item effects and perks, pointless.
Look at these videos and tell me the combat isn't extremely fun and satisfying as is?

Ha someone like me! Except of perma-death i play like you but additionally with 50 % reduced xp gain for everything, its so much fun!
Finally everything is worth to think about and use it! No aim assist (lol), no red outlines around enemies, no outlines around items to pick up, no crosshair, no super fast leveling, nothing.
Best way to play it!
This is highly recommend for more challenge:

Hmm, that's probably part of why I didn't find the game 'too easy' on Normal. I rarely used hacking except for a few cameras.
On the other hand, I understand that CP's an RPG with stats/levels/perks/etc, so I've got no problem with enemies taking multiple shots. (I also know that I'm bad at min-maxing, noticing synergies, and making optimized builds. It's why I'm fine playing on Normal in games. /shrug)
I'm constantly glad that I never bought in to this "immersion" ♥♥♥♥. Just seems to cause people problems, the way the word's always being thrown around in complaints about how peoples' games are "ruined" because it was "broken". /eyeroll So much more fun to just enjoy games for what they are.
Yeah, at the start, the ennemies are bullet sponges, you are a weak new mercenary, you are bad, you need to approach each fight differently. Looking around, trying to be sneaky, taking the most possible quietly approach before trying to survive once you get spotted. You need to try to optimise your experience gain, like trying to neutralize them without killing, so you can kill them once incapacitated, to gain that extra street-cred of defeating them twice, then you can also hide their bodies, so you gain that extra ninjutsu.
And then, even if at the begining, it was hard, tough, and you died several times because you didn't take the good approach, because you made mistake, because you were spotted, or just unlucky, then you levelled up, and around level 25, the game start to be really easy, even in really hard.
Your stuff, your stats, your cyberwares, your attributes, everything help to make the game way easier, because you adapted V to your gameplay, so that your V suits your needs, and be the best mercenary you need. On my last playthrough, on Very Hard, I died, plenty on time, even on simple Police Mission on the maps, and now, I one shot pretty much every one.
Don't you think that a game with a real feeling of "progression" is much better than a game where you don't struggle from the start ?
If the ennemies are really too bullet spongy for you, then just change difficulty, try normal difficulty, and if normal difficulty's ennemies are still too "bullet sponge", then there's nothing anybody can do for you, because they are mostly a joke there, no need for a mod.
Daaaamn, big respect for playing it in perma-death-mode!
And i thought im crazy with my about 730 hours played hahaha
But this game is a gem and despite to most other games, the more i play it, the more i love it! Cant wait for the next playthrough with the next differences in dialogues chosen and approaches how i do things.
Crazy tho, i just played one ending so far in over 700 hours just because i restarted when my V wasnt fitting to my expectations.
