Is the game worth it? What are the differences between v1.0 (2020) and v1.6 (2022)?

I don't think anyone has the time to list all the changes from nearly two years of updates. Here, this should get you going for some light reading:

Otherwise, I'd recommend YouTube where you can find videos from every update showcasing the changes.

I would wait for a sale. I dont think any game nearly 2 years old is worth 60 bucks. But inflation I guess.

But is it worth playing.... Yes.

The performance is slightly better, theres transmog now which is good, a big less bugs, they gutted and nerfed crafting, some aspects of netrunning, and anything crit related including weapons that had innate crit barely have any anymore. Skippy no longer scales automatically. Performance and dlss still degrades over time as you play

the main difference is that the game is better under 1.6

Game in much better state now, even more with the latest perf caps removed in NVIDIA drivers. Saw a HUGE increase in frame rates on my 3070 Ti, now playable with all settings at HIGH *AND* RTX enabled for all uses (reflections, sun shadows etc.). Remains at or above 60 FPS even in the city with all the lights and reflection and so on.
The LHR driver lock obviously prevented GPUs to reach max performance, which was a real scandal if you ask me... but looks like it's fixed now. And I saw the difference in game right after upgrading the drivers, which triggered my research as to the reason why.

So is it worth it? Definitely yes, wait for a sale, and pull the trigger.

Wait for a sale they just do.bug fixes n add stuff thry removed. Only new stuff is edgerunners update. But 1.6 remived alot of.added 1.5 stuff.

Mod slots for armor amount have been nerfed into oblivion. Why? No good reason. Theyre lazy.

Muzzles except silencers have been removed? Why no good reason.

Legendary armor recipies except a default
Given have been removed.

All clothing recipies have been removed.

The ability to use axes by getting tomohawk for body has been removed.
Everythings under blade.

Blade spec is invincible. Nothing can compare to it.

To dodge with contoller you have to press b/O twice. Its clunky n u end up ducking. Yes it shares button with duck.

No remedy. No customizing controls.. Outside of using steam custom configuration to remap.

You cant find/buy/wear most of the clothes npcs wear.

2 years later and all theyve done is fix quest they took away at launch. Add edgerunners content. Add guns with no recs for either.

Take away stuff.

They didn't even

Ballistics richochet has never worked for me. I never see it. 2 years later still.

Now i have a smart link and the crosshairs a giant rectangle acros the screen and it doesnt even properly lock on.

This game is still not worth it to me at full price.

Depends on what you're expecting. Some sort of GTA?
forget about it

For me it's always been worth it, even V1.0
Interesting setting, Good story, good charakters, good immersion...
Current version has got way less bugs and overall feels more polished.

Definitely worth a buy on sale with 1.6 out now. I like it

Is Cyberpunk 2077 worth the buy now?
I know that 2077 was a buggy mess at launch, but with the new edge runners show out and some of the bugs fixed, is it worth the buy? Especially with the 50% off sale.

Yes, it's worth a buy. If you end up enjoying it.

The previous sale was around 15th September. and I'm still playing it daily ever since. Absolutely love the game.

Absolutely. If you had the rig to handle it, it was worth playing from the beginning, and for 30 bucks you will absolutely get your money's worth out of it.

Well, I don't have a "PC" per se, I use a laptop, embarrassing right? If I want to play it I'll need to do it from an external hard drive, and even then I don't know if it will run very well. My best running games are Titanfall 2 and GTA V, do you think it will run?
comfy Oct 28, 2022 @ 4:49pm
You can always refund it if it doesn't run great, but if it does it's worth the buy, it's a lot of fun!! :nekoheart:
