bee lining the main quest while skipping dialogues will take about 6-8 hours. maybe even shorter if you cut out exploration.

but who would ever do that, doing side quests and a few gigs with exploration will net another 30-60 hours easy.

My shortest playthrough was 75 hours and longest 121 hours. Current speed run is 2 hours and 42 minutes.

It is tough question. It all depends on how do you define main quest's length: if you are talking about the quickest way to complete to reach end credits - then I think it is about 15 (give or take few hours), HOWEVER in this fashion you would not have all of the endings unlocked. You see the game would track as main quest only certain quest lines, however there are few more quest lines that are "optional" (and imho quite fun) but would unlock different endings. This way game probably closer to 30 hours. But this is when you know what are you doing. If you are going to explore and do sidequests that's easy 60 hours.

Should you wait for expansion? I am not sure. The reason why I say that is b/c since the release CDPR has been rebalancing the game quite heavily (they nerfed netrunner build to oblivion, now melee build due to heavy nerfs to armor, crafting). The problem with that is that it is very possible that the character you are going to have now could be nerfed to zero when (and if) the DLC would come out.

I would never rush a main story in an open-world RPG. Sprinkle in side content with exploration and some item grind, and you'll have yourself a solid 200 hours experience if you're a completionist. The story of CP2077 makes it seem like you need to hurry up.. but just don't. It actually pays off better.

This is how I play as well. The game ( any game really ) is a journey to the ending. Why would you skip parts just to get to the end. I played Skyrim ( tons of mods ) a great deal. ( loved the game ) The journey is different or variable depending on the decisions you make. Some people say why so many mods ? I say armor, weapons, locations, quests, NPCs, all change the journey and how you experience things.

Anyways, coming up on 1000 hours played in this game myself. I really enjoy the game and am looking forward to the expansion.

500 hours, 3 playthroughs, and I explore just about everything if that helps.

Stick to side quests & gigs, assaults & cyberpsychos for your first run, then do Main story as least priority. Game lasts much longer then.

I agree, choom. Taking your time with a game, breathing in the immersion, in my opinion, is what separates a game from an *experience* .. Nearing 2,500 hours myself LOL! I can't let go on Night City. Day-1 player and certified fanboy right here, and I wouldn't have it any other way xD It's strange because, even though it has its issues, it's somehow managed to be one of my favourite games in a long time.

lol no idea....i started 290 hours ago, i'm still not finished. I'm just having fun :) I may never finish it...every time i start, i get in a car and start driving, then drive some more, then drive some more lol.

What I do is all the stuff, NCPD, Fixer gigs and Cyberpsychos in Watson that I can before doing "the Heist" so I can make epic weapons for a chase afterwards.

Don't forget to look at it afterwards too as some more appear.

One huge tip, make sure you have a good pistol equipped before going into the parking garage in the heist. I buy the smart weapon targeting hand mod and use a crafted Epic Yukimura. They are machines so short circuit them too.

First time playing I rushed to the end which was a mistake, it's much more satisfying to do the side gigs and missions.

That chase is absolutely brutal on Very Hard after Patch 1.5 and I don't think it's intentional. I'm pretty sure it's kinda broken. It's supposed to a cinematic moment but it's just extremely unforgiving. Absolutely criminal for new players, I'm guessing. Like you say, Short Circuit works wonders. But once, I wasn't able to hack them because I had Sandevistan equipped (again, due to doing a lot of stuff in Watson and making a crap ton of money before The Heist) so I had a pretty big disadvantage during that section. I had to reload a save before the chase and craft myself a Lexington, for its high rate of fire and clip size, making sure it did Electrical damage, because drones are weak to that. Still took me a few tries.

70 hours for me and im thinking about playing it again

If really just do the main quest, take the easiest ending, run everywhere without looking left or right, use fasttravel all the time, skip all cutscenes... I guess you could finish it in 4-5 hours. But as others have said: Why would you do this? Its like buying the directs cut of lotr and then watching it all at 10x speed while skipping all dialogs so that you can finish faster.

If you want to enjoy your stay... explore the city, do some side content, immerse yourself... ~150 hours without grinding.

So something between these two values.

60 - 70ish hours seems to be the consensus for 100% the game. That's about how long it took me to complete everything (and all achievements) while still taking things slow and enjoying the game with no rush to an endpoint.

However, there are still many things to discover and uncover, even when one thinks they have 100% the game. I have done one 100% playthrough and two mostly main story playthroughs for different lifepaths and have a bit over 200 hours. My most current playthrough is quite long, as I'm taking it tediously slow.

I think a playthrough that is focused on the main storyline and the supporting gigs (like Judy, Kerry, River, Panam, etc) which are really part of the main story, too, is probably 25 - 30ish hours if someone is intending to focus on that but without rushing.

70h i think thats fair, but why would u replay that turd of a game, i did ... i got nothing, the wotld is kinda cool if u forget the driving, the npc, the quests, the story, the dunfights are... meh and thats the gud part of the game, sry if i lessen ur mood, im just sad that the game is trash!

Well, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. If you don't like the game that is fair not every game is for every body.

Coming up on 1000 hours and I have quite enjoyed myself. Multiple play thrus. Romanced all the available choices. Did each life path ( sadly underutilized ) Got almost all the achievements. Enjoyed the story, voice acting, the quests, crafting. I quite enjoy driving around the city on my motorcycle and seeing the sights. ( I dislike driving the cars )

Looking forward to the expansion next year. Supposed to get patch 1.6 before the end of the year. Good times ahead .

Also, keep in mind that this game has enormous depth, based on choices you make..often is spots that aren't obvious. On replay, I was actually shocked at how much I missed on some of the gigs and even some main storylines. It's a big mistake to think this is a 'short game'...
