clothes mods & mod slots
hey,

i dont get the new (1.52 patch) sense of this..
it is meant, that i put only the armadillo mods in all my clothes or what?
the crits is only for eye clothes
and the other mods are only useless - who need reduce explosion dmg etc etc and all that crap..

it would be better, in my eyes, that they remove the whole system - no more modslots and no more useless mods - this new crap is rly ridiculous

what do you think about?

I don't mind the idea of the thing, but I don't think it's made to work in a way that makes sense. Many of the clothing items have specific uses...so make mods have a more logical application. For example, why not have Armadillo mods work _only_ in things like helmets and body armour vests? It makes no sense to have an 'armoured t-shirt' or headband.

I think the problem is that there is no real variety in mods. You usually go Armadillo plus eye crit mod because the other mods are simply worthless. Maybe hackslinger for faster hacks.

Burn/Bleeding/Poison immunity is done by perks and cyberware, so you don't need that. Damage over time is non-existing, explosing also. You don't block enemy melee attack at all, so you don't need blocking - it's not Mount & Blade. You don't care about fall damage unless it kills you.

The immunity ones do have a function if you want to use perk points or cyberware slots for something else.

You have 120 of them, i think i have about 60 unspent ones, and i don't even need half of those i have, Damn, i think with just 10 i would be nearly as good as i'm now. Do you really miss any perk point in this game?

No, do not remove them, where else can I put my immunities?

Well apart from wasting some cyberware slots.

The point is as it is players are allowed more options, how is that a bad thing?

Well, the options are quite pointless. What's the point of most mods when even not very good neo-armadillo is hands down better choice?
Why not creating alternative to armadillo instead?

I would agree that more variety would be nice, that would be more options. Another factor for the imminity perks is that they require a certain level of spend into an attribute, not everyone will want to put the attribute points there to get those perks, so having the options for them is good. Almost all the immunity giving cyberware is in the same area, matched I think with subdermal armor, and I would personally give up one armadillo mod to free up a cyber slot for that, given that the legendary subdermal armor cyberware gives more armor value than a single armidillo and putting the immuntiy in the clothing spot could work better.

Altertnatives and more options good, but taking away current options to add them not so good.

im absolutly with you
its jus my first playthrough on the 1.52 patch and i think, ill end up with only armadillo and crit in the eye clothes.. - coz, there are no other useable ones and that cant be the sense of that system..
sure, they could nerf the mods, but restrict the low crit to only one slot and you dont know, what to put into the other open slots, expect for armadillo
all the other mods are for me absolutly useless
