Turn Police Off
Is there anyway to turn police off? They spawn on top of me, which kinda defeats any purpose to the mechanic, it's always an inevitable death and reset to a checkpoint from half an hour ago.

This has been a problem since day 1, and it still isn't fixed. Think it's safe to say these devs have made their last game.

You know you can just... run away from them right? I usually kill the drone because it's fast and persistent, but the cops I'll just kill what's in my way and escape. They stop chasing you after a few min.

I haven't had them spawn on top of me but I did hear of it happening before 1.5.

Is you game fully updated and are you running it from an SSD as the specs recommend.

You... you know that I'm experiencing a bug that has them spawn ON ME. So running away does nothing.

So don't fight the police? You get zero XP and practically no drops from them. And you have 20 auto saves so the furthest back you will be is about 10 minutes. This is entirely a you problem the police still work exactly the way they were designed.

That's how they usually spawn. If they aren't one-shotting you, you can still run away.

If you're not exaggerating and the police are actually spawning "on top of" you, then that's not at all a common occurrence. I'm not saying it doesn't affect your experience or that you're wrong to be upset about it, but I am saying that it's ridiculous to conclude "these devs have made their last game" because of something that only seems to affect you. You know they're already working on the next Witcher, right?

Also when your shooting guys or fighting them be careful of npcs, if you hit them once that's it you get the police on you, also CET mod can get rid of police heat if it's such a bother

I didn't, but nice assumption. I was fighting Tyger Claws and the police attacked me. Kindly keep your rude posts away. Welcome to my blocked list.

So don't kill civilians? It really isn't hard to avoid the police.

Tbh I have killed civilians by mistake, they get in the way too often for me, but I either try to avoid hitting them or just run from the cops, super easy

Can't be helped if you accidently trigger the cops; there is no surrender option. If you: Run over an invisible pedestrian - accidently roam into a police scene - any other sort of thing that accidently triggers the cops, the NCPD will continuely to attack you until either you run away or you die.

Running away is the only option if one chooses not to fight them.

use the simple mod menu and just turn off the police system if you want help add me on steam and i can help you install it . or go look it up yourself on nexus mods

I highly doubt you're experiencing a bug, and running away will always solve your problem with the police.
Serioulsy, in 350 hours, starting from release, I've never had an encounter with the cops that I couldn't solve by turning around and running for maybe 10 or at worst 20 seconds.

You're not supposed to fight them. This isn't GTA. The cops spwaning on you simply means that you misbehaved and its time to leave and chill a bit.
