RTX 3070 low FPS
i5-9600k, 32GB Ram, RTX 3070.

Finally decided to try this game again but the frame rates still ass (grant it I had a 1080 last time). The only part that I've gotten good frames in was the street kid garage scene in the beginning (between 90 and 100). Literally everywhere else I can get as low as 25 and as high as 45.

Anyone else with similar specs having issues or any solutions out there?

Edit: My problem resolved itself but I thank you all for the assistance!

What settings, resolution, raytracing aettings you have?
egg fu Sep 3, 2022 @ 10:12pm
need resolution and graphic settings (is dlss enabled, is ray tracing on).

1920x1080, Raytracing Off, DLSS set to auto, most graphics settings are set to high excluding everything to do with shadows and volumetric fog and clouds (those are set to low). And this is on my SSD

yeah something is definitely off, is there any way you can check gpu usage? my guess is that your gpu isn't being fully utilized, well known bug that can happen to some rtx users.

You might also need to upgrade the cpu, as it is 6c 6t cpu, which can contribute to the low performance.

that's true too, cpu is definitely a bottleneck in this game but the fps going as low as 25 sounds pretty sus

op can try upping his settings and see if the fps changes substantially, it shouldn't really if the cpu is already bottlenecking. lowering will make it worse i assume.

Something is definitely not right with your fps. I got i5 11400f and GTX 1080 and got 50-55 fps in 1080p almost all the time with everything maxed. On RTX 3070 you should easily get 75-80 fps in this game on FullHD resolution without RT.

I was having trouble with fps and started seeing artifacts before the game crashed a while back. Through some digging I found a suggestion that was to delete the settings file and let the game rebuild it, I guess the same as resetting to default(?). I loaded back in and the game had defaulted everything to RT Ultra and I was getting 40-75 fps, depending on where I was. I made a few more tweaks to lower some things and then called it a day and finished my first playthrough.

You're getting a little lower with raytracing off and DLSS on than I get with literally every setting on maximum (Inc RT), WITHOUT DLSS, on a 3070 at 1920x1200. So something is up.

Not sure what to suggest but assuming you're not on a laptop you might check your system power settings are allowing maximum power usage.

Edit: didn't read down all the way. Glad to hear it's solved!

Yeah, something is strange there - I have the same CPU & 32g ram - but with a 3070TI @ 1440p without ray tracing + DLSS on quality, all settings Ultra (except Vol fog on Med) together with 90+ mods on top on that.
I get between 70-90 fps everywhere, but will dip into the low 60's driving in specific high volume traffic areas in the middle of the city - game is as smooth as butter.
Although I would certainly forget ray tracing for this game unless you have upwards of a 3080...

You could use Ray Tracing with DLSS on Quality with 50+ fps with easy. I'm considering upgrade for my i5 11400f from GTX 1080 to RTX 3070ti because very low price nowadays and Using DLSS does not change quality much except far details but improve fps very much.

that's def not what you should be getting framerate-wise. on a laptop with a ryzen 9 5900hs (low wattage), 16gb ram and a rtx 3080 16GB (PCIE 4.0x8 external gpu, "asus xg mobile") I get 60-140 range with similar settings except 2560x1440 and dlss set to balanced. 60 in big cities, 140+ in the desert areas. the gpu isn't even as fast as a desktop 3070 due to lower wattage (typically only runs at 100-125W and bandwidth limitations, it's between a 3060 ti and 3070. the cpu is worse too due to being limited to 30-45 watts.
if I turn raytracing on, it's typically around 50-60 at best even with performance DLSS

Possibly, the benchmarks run well with RT on - but that is not in the "real world" so to speak... I am addicted to the frames though, not sure I want to sacrifice that for the RT benefits.. might give it a shot and see...

Imho framerates above 60 are useless as long you dont use multiplayer game and 120/240mhz display. Cyberpunk handles low fps realy well, I was playing to summer 2022 in 20-25 fps in this game on my previous i5 3570k CPU. You can also set clouds from unrealistic to ultra because clouds are barely visible in this game...
