Nomad is better for people with no knowledge of the game world or night city. Plus you get a unique vehicle.
Corpo-V on the other hand gives you far more insight in what is happening. I used this for my second playthrough and it gives a whole different picture.
I'll do a Nomad one when the expansion is there.
Corpo to me didn't feel like I'd been properly bedded into the story before it started, largely because of a rushed character introduction.
2. Streetkid
3. Nomad
Street Kid is for second playthrough character: Seasoned V. He knows how Night City works and he's putting that knowledge to use.
Corpo is for V's that want to feel like they've been torn down from High Society. Those V's who just care about themselves and don't really give an afterthought to Night City.
Corpo is my favourite. Not only is their arc with Johnny more interesting because of V's own history with Arasaka, but also their decisions near the end take on entirely new significance. That and V is far more cut-throat with her background-specific lines of dialogue. The Corpo dialogue always seems to involve V absolutely verbally suplexing the other person into submission.
Street Kid V is my second favourite. Their arc makes the most sense to me, and has the most natural friendship with Jackie imo. Their unique dialogue lines are pretty much always "corpos suck" or "hey I know this place/that guy, isn't that where XXXX" which provides some nice extra tidbits of world building and help reinforce the idea that V knows the place.
Nomad sucks. The unique lines of dialogue are almost exclusively V saying something kinda dumb, or that they think Night City sucks, or that they know about cars. There is some dialogue about them being the lonesome drifter if you really pursue the Nomad faction's quest lines, but otherwise... Ehhh. Very fun intro though!
