That's the way I personally role played it. Just because I committed to the job didn't mean I wasn't going to have V cover his @$$ with a dodgy fixer if things went south (which they did, of course). As someone else mentioned the outcome is the same, but I felt like I stayed true to my version of V. He stayed true to the people that were open and honest with him, and kept things close to the vest with those that weren't. You can't be a legend in Night City if you don't survive long enough to earn a reputation.

To add on to your comment about only looking out for himself, When he calls to book the shuttle flight after the heist goes wrong, He only reserves a single seat. He was planning on ditching his trusty bodyguard as well.

Does it matter... I mean only choice in this is showing your true colors so Keenu "silverhand" can criticize you at ending. Like if you boost your earnings in this with whole sake of been legend and then suck arasaka ♥♥♥♥ to survive keenu will mock you.

Before ending game i would agree with you. But for extra security you need to smash those heads and any memory slot.

Honestly Dex had the right idea lol. Clean up everything that could link that mess to him.
Being a PNP roleplayer of cyberpunk from way back this would have been my exact reaction and I would not have waited past that door opening.
Ev on the other hand is much more squirrely and like a rat would have been much harder to find but the logic is sound to an edgerunner wanting to survive the mess written for a rather naive V for no other reason than to usher in Keanu which they wasted so much money on to steal thunder from the protagonist for no other reason than to raise the titles profile.

That chip I would never have put in the heads of any of the characters I have played over the years lol. What a moron.

Yep. In the last Bond film Q put an unfamiliar USB into the "sandbox" - a laptop completely isolated and not connected to any network. If it was infested with malware it only would have fried a throw-away box, and not anything valuable. That's the way to do it.

Putting something like that in your head? Nuh-uh. Hard no.

Silverhand's role in the plot was decided before they approached Keanu. They did not significantly change the plot of the game because of Keanu's involvement.

In my mind at least the chip could have wiped V immediately so that johnny became the protagonist for the player.
I hate playing second fiddle to an NPC.

Neither both are untrustworthy so V should have doublecrossed both and sided with Militech instead maybe things would have played out differently during the heist. V only got Johnny stuck in the head because of Dex so him/her should have called Meredith or some other corpo rival to Arasaka and tried to strike a bargain.

It'd be interesting to see how the story played out if that geezer hadn't shown up at the worst possible time... I could see Dex and Parker both trying to either recruit or eliminate V and Jackie. And then the VDBs would be trying to get their goods and wipe out anyone involved in the heist. Then there's Arasaka... Every family member has their own agenda...

Dex would of skipped town without paying up and we would of went looking for evelyn for answers. She'd be in hiding We'd go hunting Judy would likely become our enemy and try to sic the Mox on us.
We'd prob be at war with both the Mox and the VooDoo boys.
Actually...Knowing evelyn she might of screwed the voodoo's over as well, And we might of been recruited by them to find her.

I also have a suspicion that she might of tried to work out something with yorinobu. Yorinobu hates being an arisaka and Evelyn has a soft spot for him. What are the odds that she stages the heist to give yorinobu plausable deniability, and then he uses the relic to transfer bodies. Then they run off together after Yorinobu steals a bunch of Daddy's money. Couldn't track Yorinobu once he's body hopped.

They cut the other ones to give you just silver hand and fit the release window, Originally Saboro Arasaka engram for corpo, jonny for street kid and morgan for nomad.. after Keanu things changed, like the life paths.. its already been laid out. just why?

Do you have a source for this? I did some Googling and can't find even a single mention of what you suggest.

I've never heard any of this. I've heard of people blaming keanu for jackie's screentime getting cut but nothing like what you're saying.
