they dont sell mods or blue prints
so only useful if you dont go into tech

It's for fashion. Any piece of clothing you get is added to your wardrobe permanently so you can just buy the stuff and sell it back.

I just use console commands to get the clothing mods I want. Making it RNG was a horrible change.

On my first playthrought I found awesome White Female version of Samurai Jacket (The Slim one, not exacly Samurai type), and now I can't find it... I Wish these sellers got EVERYTHING from clothes in their shops... :<

They aren't completely useless I always search for clothes with Bonus damage to Moderate High or Very High threat enemies really helps especially early in game, its known as the "showtime" mod

Then get the perk that saves clothes mods when you disassemble them and you can apply it to whatever you want

I notice I shop for clothes that look cool. I no longer shop for armor defense pts.
