That's the thing, it isn't a GTA. In fact, I'd recommend to view it as a quite stripped down GTA, where especially all the non-story content such as playing different sports and other activities have been removed in order to focus more on the main story.

I don't lament the lack of golf or tennis but tbf there could be a lot of fun cyberpunk entertainment, vr games, braindances, drone racing, customising the vehicles you spend so much time with is the least they could do especially considering how many cool and unique paintjobs already exist
