Crazy Bright Exposure - any fixes?

Jumped back into the game after watching edgerunners but looks like i'm walking on the surface of the sun!
The exposure is crazy bright, not sure why and all mentions of it I can find seem to be from 2020.
I played the game earlier this year with no mods but don't remember it being like this - has something changed with the latest updates that's broken the adaptive exposure on this game?

So turns out, to the surprise of nobody who was involved, that I was being an idiot. Tried to use the R19 visual mod along with the eye adaptation fix mod - removed R19 and works a treat now!

Same issue sun super bright at the desert area or just outside during 5am to like 9pm. Makes the whole screen white except the red and blue hud. What mod or setting do I need?

I stuck with the eye adaptation mod in the end, if memory serves the mod page mentions it can't help with the exposure in the desert but I had no issues with it when playing. Double check if you have multiple mods that try to change the exposure of external light, they may be conflicting and causing the issue.

I had time to read the forums for the R19 mod which causing some missions and specials the desert area to be too sun brightness. I also read the eye adaptation and R19 conflicts with each other. So I tried to delete both but end up crashing the game. I reinstalled and validated it but no work. So I just went through 12+ different fixes to get to work. Lucky did not conflicts with the save files.
I'm just stick with the base game. No crazy quality life mods for now. Don't want to go through the hassle.
