I'm not "exactly" complaining, more like "lamenting" I really loved to see Geralt face during the many interactions with characters, the way also Bethesda did with Fallout 4, but it turns out they cut that completely in the "Final" version, that just make me a little sad, that's all, I'm still playing the game and I like it very much, I just wanted to see my V a little more, oh well.
like to me the main thing that was really disappointing is that they said that "we want to make a city that is interactive" one of my favourite aspect of RDR 2 is the interactivity and to see this in a cyberpunk world would be a wet dream and it was believable since the game was in development for so long, the final product is an extremely shallow open world with little to no interactivity and no mini games, all you do is ubisoft tier gigs and thats it, the open world is still beautiful but whats the point if i cant interact with it.
Luckily I didn't even pay attention to it one bit until just recently so since i had no real expectations i wasn't disappointed at all! :D
They said it so they get more preorders
They sold 13m preorders and around 2m copies post launch, at reduced price.
That should tell you why the marketing budget exceded development budget
Also wanted to say. They them self said they mislead with marketing on report after launch of game. They need to "Rework" with marketing.
Also for personal believe and ethics. People should not market thing´s they cannot deliver on. I know accidents etc happen. But what happened with cyberpunk 2077 went out of the way lie about product and using weak consumer protection laws to push issues in marketing away. Where i´m from consumer should have valid if about product. Even more on info what would cause buyer not set product. Only reason they got away is because they can claim they will fix it.
But hey that´s my personal view of ethics with marketing but it does not mean world run around it.
