Great, they made Gorilla Arms worse...
Before the update, I was punching heads into red mist and sending bodies flying back regularly. Now, enemies are just holding their shoulder or stomach, and gently crumpling down to the floor...

This change sucks. Bring back the very lethal Gorilla Arms. If I want to knock an enemy out with a blunt weapon, I'll use the electric baton.

They made it more realistic & i don't think a real person would not block or try to not get hit easy right?

Aww, that blows. I'm usually not a melee type, but those were so much fun. :steamsad:

What's realistic about someone reacting as though they got punched by a normal fist, when you have robot arms, specifically designed to basically give you super-human strength? It made sense before this change, where your regular fists would make people react that way, but upgrading to the Gorilla Arms made it lethal and caused them to go flying. That was a nice sense of progression in strength.

bro lol .. if u noticed , anything in the game in terms of realistic stuff doesnt exist since humanity in cyberpunk 2077 can upgrade themselfes to act and look like a robot , gorilla arms is one of those things that are supposed to give u massive strenght compared to normal arms lol
I am Bibbly. Sep 10, 2022 @ 6:50pm
Punching someone's head into mist is still possible if you crit on the last blow. Also, if you fill out your blunt tree, and other stuff related to melee you'll notice it procs fairly often.

I don't notice that at all. I'm completely maxed out on everything. I crit their faces for 15k damage, and they just reel back, hold their face, and fall over. I only get their head to pop after the 3rd or 4th hit, when they're already down.

But anyway's i don't use Fist's but only when i had to for the Boxing thing Mission that the Coach gave to V, but after that i stick with Gun's.
Wolfdrache Sep 10, 2022 @ 7:54pm
The other guys you fighting has same stats as V with same getup so it is harder to fight them dude and dudette

I'm pretty sure it was a bug that Gorilla arms were as lethal as they were, that they were supposed to be a less-lethal alternative to the mantis blades and monowire.

Because only your arms are enhanced? The rest of the muscles in V's body are normal ones, so they limit the amount of strenght you can exert when punching with cybernetical arms. Basically, you can crush some hard substance with a cyberfist, but you can't turn coal into diamonds by pressing it within a cyberfist. The same way, having both cyberarms won't let you lift a car off the ground and throw it around; you'll damage every muscle in your back by doing that.

This issue is discussed in the PnP game handbook PDF included as bonus content with the videogame.

never thought about it, but i will deffo look into :D got interested , but the crazy part is that if u got 15-20 body and for some odd reason gorilla arms animation pops up when u open up "strong doors" , if i dont equip the gorilla arms , the details wont appear, quite cool detail tho :D

Except we see a guy in game, casually lifting a car, to use it as a shield against one of those big mech suits.

Worse ? Gorilla arms allow you to use any weapon requiring body, without having the body requirement. Like sniper rifle.
They also give you a flat boost to body for conversation and skill check purposes.

Unless you have a mantis blade/monowire build, they are the best hand implant by far.

That guy isn't lifting the car off the ground, he's pushing it to turn it over.

I only used those arms to clutch the 1 vs 1 ring fights lol
If we can still do that that's fine by me

Beside that having mantis is so much better
