Would be nice to have a flashlight mod for weapons though, even if you really don't it (there are already things in the game that have a fairly specific use case and otherwise no use).
Maybe your rl environment needs adjusted?
Also there is a small mod on nexus if your really stuck
And yes the game gets too dark in some places for something as basic as a flashlight not to exist, but you have to play with an actual proper calibrated screen to notice, the vast majority of PC players use way too high gamma / luminosity and don't even notice
Wakako's mission, which is now significantly easier negating the whole point to no flashlight.
I was a very stupid decision.
That is the biggest lie.
Is it? The only mission that really is dark is the Wakako mission with the Netrunner where you follow the lights he turns on, and that's clearly by design. That's the only time i thought to myself "a flashlight sure would be handy here!".
If you're finding the game too dark in other places than that, then might i suggest you take a look at your brightnesss calibration? It's there in the settings, adjusting it takes but a moment.
The default brightness settings for the game were much too dark for my screen, but after i calibrated it, i have had no problems with the game being "too dark" since.
Calibrate your settings people. Different screens have different white/black ranges, so don't just assume the default settings are the correct ones for your screen. They might not be.
Well it *is* called Night City...
