Street Cred

There has been a lot of updates, outdated YouTube videos, things nerfed or changed, and overall the information out there is pretty dated.

As of 1.6 what is the best way to farm street cred? I am currently doing NCPD side missions, but is there a better way?

Also, is Contagion worth using anymore? I am trying out netrunner build from what I can gather Contagion got heavily nerfed.

Find clothing with Street Cred mods, wear 'em. There are also Crafting patterns you can find early on in Watson. Buy a jacket with two slots and you can boost your SC up to 14%. It doesn't take long to get your SC high enough to buy some advanced cyber gear even before the Pickup or the Heist. [For whatever good it does. Enemies seem to get tougher too].

Update: Alright, so I am at Street Cred lvl 31-ish. Somewhere around there iirc. I couldn't find a clothing store that sold anything that had street cred XP mods or stats. Even at lvl 25-ish and with my street cred, clothing vendors are still selling dookie.

I've even tried to pay better attention to the random clothes I loot, but again it's all pretty terrible. I just equip stuff that has slightly better armor because 99% of the clothes I get have no modifiers or buffs. Just a common hat with some armor and maybe something saying along the lines of 2% crit dmg or whatever. So all in all, I've given up on the clothes.

I've just ran side gigs and NCPD missions. Sort of frustrating because as of now most the merchants don't sell really anything all that good. Most the stuff I loot is terrible, so I'm guessing all the juicy stuff is locked until I progress in the story some. Haha I still haven't done anything since beating The Heist, perhaps that's my problem.
