Street Cred

There has been a lot of updates, outdated YouTube videos, things nerfed or changed, and overall the information out there is pretty dated.

As of 1.6 what is the best way to farm street cred? I am currently doing NCPD side missions, but is there a better way?

Also, is Contagion worth using anymore? I am trying out netrunner build from what I can gather Contagion got heavily nerfed.

with all of watson sides stuff ya could easily get street scred to level 30 range before you even start the heist mission

There are some clothing mods now that give street cred XP gain bonus.
Gigs and NCPD side missions are still fastest way I think.

Ya know, I never even really paid attention to the clothes. Saw a green arrow, equipped it, and moved on. This is the same nonsense my wife does when she plays Diablo. Green arrow, equip, move on.

I need to re-evaluate what I am doing. lol

So I went to that link Nite69 provided and went to store called Stylishly but none of the clothing mentioned (Epic or Legendary) are present there. It's just a bunch of trash clothing pieces, most with no mods or added bonuses. My street cred as of now is 20 btw.

it said in the page you have to sleep / refresh the store to sometimes find what you need, I got one early on with my current playthrough

I've rested a week at this point and while the inventory does change, the quality of things however do not. All generic green clothing. I am at the right store, but I am guessing I am not far enough into the story or something. I completed The Heist and that's about it. Been trying to hold off on the story as much as possible.

well if it doesn't show at stores keep an eye out for purple loot chests, its all RNG to get it just like when ya sleep and try at the store, but I have seen purple gear at stores, its rare early on but it does happen

That is cheating. I am not wanting to cheat, but earn XP/Money/Street Cred legit. There is no sense of accomplishment from pressing a single button and being given something.

Well I am early game so that would explain it. Is there an actual activity specifically that would help garner more Street Cred faster? I am just doing side content, primarily NCPD missions, until then.

Guess it doesn't matter, just want to get vendors to unlock more stuff cause right now there is no use in them.

You get street cred for killing gangoons and corpos so do that however you want. The NCPD missions build up your body count the fastest and they also have the best loot.

Contagions still nuts but doesn't completely overshadow everything on very hard anymore and has a place as a non-lethal large group option. Using a lot more system shutdown for smaller/spread out groups and ignite to finish off contagion survivors.

Interesting, so there is a bit more diversity to options rather than what I've seen in videos which is contagion > everything else.

Clothing Stores were nerfed in patch 1.6.
For street cred: finish the ripperdoc main story mission, then murder random gangsters.
