Stealth Key Is Slow to Respond?!

I re-assigned the key to LCtrl to fit my play habits from other RPGs and now going into stealth is slow af. I die or fail stealthy approaches bc the damn thing has to be smashed multiple times (at least 3 times) before the game catches up. Any idea why it is so and/or how to fix it? The issue is not my keyboard before anyone asks. This is becoming a huge hindrance in my playing experience of this game.

I just learned to deal with C because there was zero remapping when the game came out. I like this game enough that I have remapped all my other games to match CP

well, i'm not gonna change my gaming habits for this game bc cdpr cannot implement a custom keybind. i didn't remap anything else, so I'm guessing custom key binds system is just ♥♥♥♥♥. I would switch to a controller, but CDPR forgot/didn't bother to include DS4 visual layout to the settings for those who prefer DS controllers

yup crouch is a problem and more people need to say something about it.

imo the issue is that it is also tied to slide. after all this time, you would think they would fix something so simple as "crouching when i press the crouch button".

imo the issue is that it is also tied to slide. after all this time, you would think they would fix something so simple as "crouching when i press the crouch button".

I had to look through the settings to realize sliding is not bound to a key. Well, that blows...

yup. CP77 is the only game i own where it is literally a pain to crouch.

I remapped it to E for toggling crouch. I never use LCtrl, or any "Hold Button" crouching, ever. I play as a Pistol Assassin/Stealth Hacker.

Sounds like your keyboard needs some love. If not, then there's some delay on the input for sure and that would be performance based. If it's not mechanical, try turning down settings to see if that improves anything.

thats a load of bs. why cant people acknowledge that the game has long standing issues. its not his keyboard or mine. even my friend who used to play said he had the same issue. go ahead and rebind it to ctrl (a key most games use for crouch) and see how sometimes when pressed, you dont crouch.

Edit: it doesnt work even more so while your moving.

Sounds like you didn't read my post when I specifically stated, my keyboard is NOT an issue
