Hello everyone, I've been having issues with Cyberpunk 2077 and I can't find many resources on the internet sharing this problem or how to fix it.

So what I'm experience is I can play the game fine with a good FPS, and at a random point in time it will crash.

It will also crash the video driver and Ill have to restart discord / my browser for audio.

There is no way to reliably replicate this beyond just moving around and randomly crashing. Sometimes I'll play for an hour ish, other times I'll play for a few minutes.

My graphics drivers are updated. I disabled steam overlay, I have the graphics lower than necessary. I tried deleted the 'bin' folder and revalidating files to get it again. I set cascaded shadows to low. Nothing seems to fix it.

Way back when, one potential solution was to make sure that the Visual C++ and DirectX redistributables were up to date, but that error message seemed to have a number of potential causes.

LMFAO this problem have since game launch. No way you can fix this issue it's about the game itself.

upd for my last comment, it didn't help but turning off my DDR5 xmp profile did. For some reason it kept crushing until i lowered 6000 MHz back to 4800

So this thread help me ALOT but I went about it a different way, I lowered my GPU setting by roughly 15% across the board and was able to get a few hours playtime before it crashed with the dreaded error42 message. Haven't touched XMP yet though and running DDR5 @ 5200MHZ still. Will try another 15% tonight and report back....
