I havent seen the anime and i probably won't but i did see a clip of him obliterating Rebecca is this why people hate him, apparently she is the fan favorite.

There was one thing that really bugged me about Faraday. While the "stack" of 3 right eyes looked cool, it's clearly impossible for 3 eyeballs to be that close together. I figured it's a fictional world where tech can explain away anything, so perhaps the eyes were not spherical at all but flattened like hockey pucks to create that effect. But then when he dies, you see his fully-formed eyeballs roll around.

Yes, yes, it's a ridiculous nitpick. Sometimes little things like that bug me.
