[SOLVED]Low GPU Usage
I'm using 12600k 3080(12gb) ddr5-32gb p41 1tb ssd.
When I play Cyberpunk 2077, my GPU usage is only around 65-75%.
I've been playing the game with max setting and even if I lower it, the gpu usage also drops with it, so there is no frame improvement. I already updated my GPU driver and window 11 to latest version. When I start the game, the usage rate is high at first and the frame rate is good, but as time goes on, the usage rate gradually decreases and the frame rate also drops. This is not an issue with my graphics card as it only happens when playing Cyberpunk 2077. Is there any way to fix it?

EDIT: I'm playing at 4K with 165hz refresh rate monitor. No frame lock.
I already clean installed my driver using DDU.
And about some people keep saying about bottleneck, eve If I lower the resolution, the gpu usage also drops significantly, resulting in lower performance than playing in 4k.

I FINALLY FIXED IT!
It was very simple, just open task manager and turn off e-core. Thats all, and now I have 97%~ gpu usage and very solid framerate above 60!

A RTX 3080 shouldn't be used with a i5 CPU, your CPU is a bottleneck simple as that.

Like I said I had no prob with other games. And there is no bottleneck within 3080 and 12600k. Go check other games benchmark.

Just because it works in other games, doesn't mean anything. CP2077 is very CPU hungry.

I would set crowd density to lowest if i were you, that should help.

Than go check CP2077's benchmark for 12600k 3080. There is absolutely no bottleneck. I'll post all resolution benchmark video.

Maybe you got a third party antivirus program installed, like Avast, Avira or even worse Kaspersky?

I had Avast for a while, and that halfed my FPS in CP2077, even tho i had created an exception for the whole game folder.

After i uninstalled that, and only used the windows bitdefender and created an exception for the game folder my FPS were back to normal.

I'm using Kaspersky but its not related with it. I know some anti-virus program causing performance issue but my case is about GPU usage. Anti-Virus doesn't affect to GPU usage.

It doesn't hurt to try uninstalling it, if it doesn't help just reinstall it.

I mean SOMETHING must be wrong.

This is not the case, my 12400f maxes my 3080ti at 4k dlss. Unless you game at above 120hz you really don't need more. i game at 60hz some im good with whatever cpu.

Here i'm playing with a 12400f and rtx 3080 12gb at 60hz 4K+ but as you can see the gpu often goes to 95%, not all the time cause my frames are locked here. It's not your cpu.

I'm downloading now to make a 4k 120fps video, if i can with performance dlss. I'm not sure if the 12400f is up to snuff for a constant 80fps or more as this game is terribly optimized or well, not at all, but well see.

Please note, the 12400f is only 5% slower than a 12600k in the best case but consumes 90 watts less. Hence why I chose it.

If its low GPU usage, then its CPU bottlenecking. Might get a higher framerate if you put CPU on high priority in taskmanager for cyberpunk. Had to upgrade my CPU from an i7 to a ryzen 5950x because I had 20% bottlenecking with a 3090.

I have a a bit weaker cpu but it fills my gpu to 100% at least in 2560p, op needs to clarify resolution and frame rates he looks for.

Yea I already know its not about bottleneck. I really don't understand why this is happening. If I lowerd my resolutuon to FHD, my GPU usage dropped at 30%, 34fps. This is only happening for this game. I tested hours ago with AC Odyssey and AC Valhalla, there was no GPU usage issue.

Which windows are you on, what other apps do you run? Are drivers up to date, what api does your game run in? d12?. Just some basic things to check off so I can think with ya

I already posted about GPU driver update its already updated, and I'm using win11 its also updated. My game running DX12.
