Many melee perks are also nonsense, like the blunt one that gives you 3% more damage for every 1% of HP you've lost. Meaning at 50% HP, you've gained 150% damage.
But since annihilation pertains to guns, let's say melee wins
End game though, melee is king. Once you have your perks, gear and cyberware set, it's pretty much unbeatable; outputting huge damage without needing ammo and to reload.
Reloading especially. It's what makes Annihilation so weak, and why Assault is probably the best overall gun perk tree. It has a perk specifically to address reloading speed, making it almost instant.
Exactly. Guns and melee are just ancient weapons.
Blades are ridiculously, have a perk that deal double damage (max upgrade) to enemies at full health, then it double down with damage buff for every % of enemies HP lose
Yeah I have not been given a reason to divert from my intelligence, body, tech builds in a very long time. It gives you maximum flexibility in just getting into places, stupid amounts of gun damage and absolute control over melee and hacking.
And if you can't see what your doing, so does your enemies
My curiosity behind Guns vs Melee is solely due to the fact that during the Suicide Mission I felt like I was doing trash damage even with maxed out Iconic guns.
