I bought Cyberpunk on GOG, can I add it to Steam somehow?

Hey guys, I read somewhere that you could do it. If I connect GOG galaxy and Steam, will Cyberpunk show up in my steam library and will I be able to play via Steam with all the achievements? I would prefer to play it on Steam, rather than GOG.

if you want to play it through steam with achievements and whatever other features then you need to buy it on steam or get a steam key for it

Not possible, as the digital lisence to the game would be handled by steam, not CDPR.
Same thing with with Epic, and probably GoG too.

Yeah, it sucks, but at least I can still play it. Sadly not on Steam

Yeah, it sucks, but at least I can still play it. Sadly not on Steam

One good thing is that your save file remains the same, so you technically could transfer it to steam's storage. Dunno if buying it again's worth it just for achievements tho, even at half price.

I have cyberpunk 2077 linked from GOG to Steam. I can actually start it from Steam

Yet Steam says I must first buy Cyberpunk to buy the new expansion! What gives? Why can't I buy the expansion, as I have already proven that I own it...?

cause you don't own it on steam

All that happens when you add it to steam is it makes a shortcut in the steam list and that's it.

You would need a code to redeem to get it fully on steam.

You can buy the expansion on GoG though.

I wish. I also made the mistake of buying it on GOG. Feels like they have completely stopped supporting their launcher and its just a buggy mess. I'd rather use the Epic launcher than Galaxy at this point. At least it's still better than the Windows game store.
