Point of being non-lethal?
Been doing a stealth Netrunner build and having a blast but wondering if I missed something on the advantage of being non-lethal. I could probably cut my mission times in half if I ran around with a silenced pistol instead of knocking everyone out with chokes and toxic/electric netrunner abilities. Is there like a bonus or something?

I guess for specific enemies you don't want to kill off like the Cyberpsychos or gig targets

For a few very specific quests, yeah. Otherwise, it's purely on how you see V or how you see a situation.

Before they patched it, the point was double XP. You use to get XP for the non-lethal takedown, and the same amount again if you delivered the lethal hit afterwards.

If you don't want to kill, you go non-lethal. There is no advantage to it.

edit:
As said, there was a double exp exploit, but that got patched.

There is no point other then cyberpsycho missions and few specific missions, it`s just for white knights so they can feel good about themselves.

Some of the gun for hire missions have an extra flair to it if you takedown the target (then put them in the trunk of the fixer's car) vs killing them.

there are a couple of quests with arguably better outcomes if you do it non-lethally, like the one with the 2 monks kidnapped by Maelstrom. The Cyberpsycho quests are always non-lethal whether you use non-lethal weapons or not though, just don't hit them again after they go down.

I did the quest like the monk wanted non-lethal and when monk thanked me and left I went back and shot every one of those Maelstrom chrome junkies in the head.
I know, I´m a terrible person. :steammocking:

Some people like to play pacifist for roleplaying purposes, simple as.

It change dialogue and reaction in some quest but that's about it, overall nothing is impacted
So whether it's about you wanting be mercyful and don't let them suffer, or be batman, sure the dude is crippled for life but he's alive right?
But I do want to spare cyberpsycho though, not that it's their choice to be one, and Oda cause ♥♥♥♥ him and let him live in shame for life lol

Depends on the situation, sometimes you get a gig someone doing crimes, but this someone doing it out of necessity, but job is job and they need to be neutrelized, then I cast Short circuit and non-lethally neutralize them.

But when enemy is evil then I fried them brain and serve it to their kids.

there is no point beside for role playing, which is good.
