(I also rarely plan out my leveling beyond a very basic level - "this playthrough will be pistols/stealth" - so the whole "complete your build" seems a bit odd to me. It's always a work in progress. /shrug)
I mean, to each their own. if it's a first time then you kinda don't know whats gonna be happening next, hence why they gave us the ability to raise core stats EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION THAT COULD USE ANOTHER POINT OR TWO!!!
This third run I decided to be a cyber-samurai and I'm having a blast running around groups of gang members slicin' n dicin' and watching body parts fly off!!! It's fun to have a medium to where you can commit a crime, legally, with zero repercussion, and no lives lost all while fulfilling that childhood fantasy of being a ninja.
I mean, I can understand why "maxing your character" can be part of the meta game for some, but it's certainly not inherently an important goal and there isn't necessarily a need for more content that takes advantage of a maxed build.
Could be just me, but those games are remembered for other things that character development. Customization is a big deal in 2077. But anyway, that customization won't end at level 50... you probably still have a bunch of modifications and implants to discover, or that's how it was like for me when I last played.
Just....enjoy the journey...
lolwat? Character Customization is definitely a big part of character development in those games, especially New Vegas. Even has implants AND the Logan's Loophole perk to really put an emphasis on character building.
First, what do you mean with 'spending so much time to make a build'? Seriously. You play the game, you get some stats and perks point, you spend them. You make it sound like some actual work is involved there?
Second, the game isn't in any way over when you reach level 50. You just don't get additional stat point anymore, but you can still get perks and skills. You can still modify/ improve cyberware and gear. And of course you can still continue to play, thats completly independent from your ability to gain more attribute points.
Third: Just get a mod to remove the level cap.
