any factions you avoid killing?

i'm trying to be a good guy so i only kill memebers of factions that are obviously evil, like Maelstrom, Tyger Claws, Wraiths and Scavengers
gangs that have good sides to them like Valentinos or 6th street, or corpo forces that are just doing everyday guard work i try to avoid killing as much as possible.

anyone else playing like this?
man, this game desprately needs a faction system so there will be some visible feedback/reward for avoiding needless deaths of different gangs

My netrunner V doesn't kill anyone. My ninja V is a true mercenary and takes down everyone unless the job is specifically to not kill anyone.

Well that's an interesting topic

I personnaly have 3 tiers :
- kill them all : Arasaka (was a corpo), Maelstrom, Scavenger, Wraith (the 3 most evil faction in my opinion) and 6th street (because...I don't like them ?)
- Avoid killing them unless I witness them doing something wrong : Militech, Kang Tao, Tiger Claws. I consider those factions to be neutral evil
- Avoid killing them unless I really don't have a choice : unaffilited, Valentinos (Jackies' memory)

I agree that a faction system would be great, along side a morality system for your character and a humanity system that degrades if you kill too many people and have too many cyberware respectively.

My first character, primarily a netrunner went 90% of the game using non lethal weapons and non lethal quickhacks. After the point of no return things got messy lol.

They gangs all have extremely different MOs. All pretty much scum, but some are certainly worse than others. Some just push extortion, gambling, and violence against those who try to take over their neighborhoods, others like the Scavs are all about kidnapping people and chopping them up for parts, and then there are those like Maelstrom that are sadistic, torture and kill just for kicks.

Only animals really. They want to take drugs and work out and tend to be far less violent than the other games.

you're probably not actually killing the majority of enemies anyway, most enemies are only "knocked out" unless you headshot them or shoot them again after they go down. took me a while to realise this.

i play as stealth and non lethal usually but i do occasionally killing murderers. if i scan them and it says they are wanted for first or second degree murder and have all kinds of violent history. I kill them with lethal quickhacks like suicide.

Yeah those things are random and don't actually mean anything. I paid attention once but when I saw people like Mitch wanted for sexual assault in one playthrough and not in the next it was obvious they are random.

not all gang members are killers, some of them just guard their turf, others only kill other gang members in retliation, game lore states that Valentinos care about the people in their district and consider them part of the family.

I kill everyone I can target especially if they have a bounty on them. Every gang member is wanted by the NCPD and therefore are criminals. They can be shot on sight with no reaction from the police. There are only gonks in Night City.

Police put bounties on people just for slandering corpos or mishandling corpo property they really have no morals
