Does the Vortex mod app have to be open when I play for it to work?

Do I have to open Vortex then launch the game every time, or can I just launch the game without Vortex being open?

Vortex is just an installer. It doesn't need to be on, since no mods depend on it.

it sure is! however i dont use it that much because i feel its a bit overpowered

I just started modding like one hour ago, so maybe I'll grow tired of it. I installed the vehicle combat mod too, to minimize the desire to just fly.

Self control... we'll see.

There's one or two I can't get to work for some reason though, like Real Vendor Names and Crowd Scanner.

i highly recommend the "welcome to night city" collection on nexus mods thats what i use atm, it comes with 200+ mods
